RNA – In an exclusive interview with Rasa News Agency, Ayatollah Sayyed Rahim Tavakkol referred to the valuable services of Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli-Larijani as the Chief Justice of Iran and said, “He was successful in his work and the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution [Ayatollah Khamenei] didn’t object to his work.”
Expressing that the work of the judiciary must be carried out in a modern manner, the representative of the people of Mazandaran province in the Assembly of Experts stated, “The Supreme Leader has therefore appointed Ayatollah Sayyed Ebrahim Raeisi to the post of the Chief Justice in order to carry out the work of this faculty in a modern manner.
He stated that Ayatollah Raeisi is a positive, moderate and humble person who has a long and brilliant history in the judiciary and noted, “Considering that the Supreme Leader has also considered him as a successful person in important matters, undoubtedly, he will be able to contribute to the transformation of the judiciary and a powerful beginning will ensue for this effective faculty.”
Ayatollah Tavakkol focused on the services of Ayatollah Raeisi as the custodian of the Astan Quds Razavi, the foundation that manages the shrine of Imam al-Ridha in Mashhad, pointing out that his efficiency in this post indicates his success in important posts and added, “He did a good job in the short time that he held this post and no one had done any of these activities before him. Ayatollah Khamenei appointed Ayatollah Raeisi to the post through an official decree on March 7th, naming him as the successor to Ayatollah Amoli-Larijani, who served in the post for more than nine years.
