The United Nations Office for Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) documented the killing of 295 Palestinians, by Israeli forces, as well as the injuring of 29,000 Palestinians in 2018. RNA - According to the new OCHA documentation, of the 295 Palestinians killed this year by Israeli forces, 57 have been children. A total of approximately 7,000 injuries were children, the AMN reported.
Incidents of Illegal Settler violence, have increased by 69% since 2017, bringing the total number of violent attacks on Palestinians to 265 in 2018.
The number of injuries caused, as a result of settler violence, was 115. Around 7,900 trees and 540 vehicles sustained damage, as a result of illegal settler rampages.
The OHCA also recorded that Israel confiscated or demolished a total number of 459 buildings in the West Bank and East Jerusalem. As a result of home demolitions and confiscations, 472 Palestinians have been misplaced, including 216 children and 127 women.
Sixty-eight percent of Gaza have been described, by the OHCA, as food insecure in 2018. Approximately 59% of Gaza’s population are also unemployed due to lack of work, this figure climes to 69% amongst the youth.
