Hama
The Syria Army's artillery units pounded terrorists' movements and repelled their attacks from the demilitarized zone, a military source reported on Friday.
The artillery and missile units, deployed near the town of al-Masasanah in Northern Hama, opened heavy fire at the movements of Tahrir al-Sham Hay'at in regions near al-Latamina in the demilitarized zone and managed to destroy their military hardware.
The army's heavy artillery fire inflicted heavy casualties on the militants and preempted their attack on the government forces.
The terrorists' refusal to implement the Sochi Agreement to establish a demilitarized zone is pushing the army to initiate its long-waited assault on militants in Idlib that had been put on hold due to the Sochi Agreement.
Deir Ezzur
A new military base is being built by the US forces in Southeastern Deir Ezzur to reinvigorate their positions in Eastern Syria after US President Donald Trump declared decision to pull forces out of the war-held country, the London-based pro-opposition Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported on Friday.
SOHR said that the US-led coalition is setting up a military base in regions near the town of Hajin in Southeastern Deir Ezzur.
The establishment of the new base came after the US president announced a plan for withdrawal of forces from Syria.
The report also said that the US-backed Kurdish militia now plan to retreat from their positions in contact lines with the ISIL to counter Turkish troops' possible operation on the Eastern bank of the Euphrates River.

The Kurdish militia continued blocking the exit path of the civilian population in Northern and Northeastern Syria as the Turkish Army readies to launch a major military operation on Kurdish regions on the Eastern bank of the Euphrates River, field sources reported on Friday.
The sources in the town of Manbij in Northeastern Aleppo reported that the Syrian Democratic forces (SDF) have started arresting the people that are fleeing SDF-held regions.
They further said that the SDF gunmen have threatened people with death penalty if they try to leave the region.
The SDF has started arresting people to prevent them from fleeing the town of Ra'as al-Ein Northwest of Hasaka near the border with Turkey, the sources went on to say, adding that the SDF has also seized a number of residential units in the village of al-Dowayerah Southwest of Ra'as al-Ein and turned them into military bases.
