He also warned of attempts by enemies to foment insecurity inside Iran and change the country's behavior, and said they want to display the Islamic Republic inefficient through economic pressures and plots against Iran's security.
General Jafari, meantime, said that the Iranian nation has opted for the path of resistance and will stand against enemies' plots.
On November 5, the US Treasury Department reinstated all sanctions on Iran lifted under the 2015 nuclear deal.
According to Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, the sweeping sanctions see 700 people blacklisted, including people who were granted relief under the 2015 deal, as well as over 300 new names.
The Trump administration has agreed to allow eight countries to continue purchasing Iran’s crude oil after Washington’s sanctions on Tehran took place.
According to Fars News Agancy, the Iranian officials have downplayed the US sanctions and pressures.
Iran's First Vice-President Eshaq Jahangiri said in November that Washington had always been suffering from miscalculations when assessing the strength and power of survival of the Islamic Republic.
"The US receives information from wrong sources. They had launched extensive propaganda to show the Islamic Republic inefficient and imagined that Iran wouldn't be able to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Revolution's victory," Jahangiri said in the Southern province of Khuzestan.
He added that the US and its allies had attempted much to foment unrests and protests in Iran, but Iranian people foiled all their plots.
