RNA – In an exclusive interview with Rasa News Agency, Mr. Abolfazl Hasanbeygi, a member of the National Security Commission of Iran’s Islamic Consultative Assembly, stated that the decline of the United States isn’t a slogan but rather it’s an undeniable fact and said, “In 1988, when the Soviet Union was in decline, a group of members of the Islamic Consultative Assembly who were interested in the Soviet Union tried to suggest that the current situation in the Soviet Union was a domestic policy through the projection and the creation of psychological warfare and it wasn’t related to the collapse of the country.”
The Iranian politician added that it was based on the belief that they were bring up groundless reasons and said that the Soviet Union would separate the weak countries from itself and become a global power, but it was not long before the prediction of Imam Khomeyni about the Soviet Union was realized and the words of Imam Khomeyni about the future of the Soviet Union were demonstrated as truthful.
Referring to the statements by the great founder of the Islamic Revolution before the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, Mr. Hasanbeygi said, “Imam Khomeyni said that ‘Communism will be thrown into the garbage bin of history’ and in another place he said, ‘I hear the sound of the crushing of the bones of Communists.’ Also in the letter that Ayatollah Javadi-Amoli and his delegation gave to Mikhail Gorbachev [the last leader of the Soviet Union], Imam Khomeyni warned him that the Soviet Union was the verge of collapse.”
His Eminence referred to the statement by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Khamenei, that the United States is in a state of decline and said, “The Supreme Leader’s prediction about the decline of the United States, just like the prediction by Imam Khomeyni, is a true and rational analysis that will soon be realized.”
He described the collapse of the United States as an undeniable fact, “Over the last decade, American politicians and decision-makers behind the scenes have been trying to conceal the fact that the United States is on the brink of destruction. For example, when the uprising of the oppressed and African-Americans was threatening the United States, they sought to put African-Americans into positions of power, and we witnessed Barack Obama’s dirty politics. At another point when they again felt threatened, they brought in crazy people, such as Donald Trump, to propagate unipolaristic slogans and incite the sentiments and the pride of the American people and to pursue their goals in this manner.”
Mr. Hasanbeygi added, “Trump claims that from the 318 million people in the United States, more than 70 million people are living in extreme poverty, he also said that the $6 trillion dollars spent by the Obama administration on the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq could have been spent within the United States. This has caused a calamity in the country because with the same money, the United States could have been rebuilt twice. Trump attempts to stimulate people’s sentiments with these projections and suggests that the United States isn’t on the brink of collapse.”
