Syria in Last 24 Hours:
Rasa - Over 270 ISIL terrorists were killed and a number of the US-made TOW anti-tank missiles were seized in the Syrian Army's mop-up operation in the Eastern desert of Sweida over the past 24 hours.

RNA - "The Syrian Army continued its cleansing operation in the Eastern desert of Sweida, hunting over 270 ISIL terrorists," the Arabic-language website of Sputnik quoted Spokesman for the Russian Armed forces Oleg Makarevich as saying.

 

Meantime, the Syrian army continued its military advances in other parts of Syria over the past 24 hours.

 

Tens of terrorists were killed and dozens more were injured during the Syrian army's operations in provinces across Syria.

 

Sweida

 

More than 270 ISIL terrorists have been killed and a number of the US-made TOW anti-tank missiles have been seized in the Syrian Army's mop-up operation in the Eastern desert of Sweida, a Russian media outlet reported on Monday.

 

The Arabic-language website of Sputnik quoted Spokesman for the Russian Armed forces Oleg Makarevich as reporting that the Syrian Army continued its cleansing operation in the Eastern desert of Sweida, hunting over 270 ISIL terrorists.

 

The Arabic Sputnik further said that the army also seized a large volume of arms and ammunition and landmines, adding that a sum of 12 US-made TOW anti-tank missiles was found at terrorists' positions.

 

The news agency pointed to the rugged terrain and bad weather conditions in Sweida desert during the army operation, and said that the Damascus forces first destroyed ISIL's supply lines and bases to pave the ground for easier liberation of the region from the terrorists.

 

The army forces launched their operation in the Eastern desert of Sweida and purged almost 3,000 sq/km of land of ISIL after the terrorist group attacked Sweida city and its nearby villages in late June, killing and injuring a large number of civilians.

 

The army men that captured the entire Toloul al-Safa rugged terrain last month and started mop-up operation in the Eastern desert of Sweida immediately after. During the operation, the army seized control over a large number of regions, including Tal Marati, Sotoh al-Mahriqahaf al-Kawaber, al-Mosaha, Jour al-Hasaan, Jour Qarimah, Mobabyat, al-Motalah, Satah al-Jamal, al-Khazrah, Soto Salmi and al-Jafajef.

 

A large number of ISIL terrorists, including commanders, were killed and a large volume their military equipment were destroyed in the army operation.

 

Deir Ezzur

 

A senior Albanian ISIL commander was killed in clashes with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in Eastern Syria.

 

According to reports from Eastern Syria, the senior ISIL commander, “Abu Usama Al-Albani” was killed during a fierce firefight with the SDF near the town of Hajin in Southeastern Deir Ezzur, massdar news reported.

 

The ISIL commander was reportedly a foreigner from Albania; he was allegedly leading the ISIL in Euphrates front.

 

No further details were released about the foreign ISIL commander.

 

Aleppo

 

Almost 20 Ankara-backed militants were killed or wounded in explosions and clashes with the Kurdish militias in Afrin region in Northern Aleppo, local sources reported on Monday.

 

According to Fars News Agancy, the sources reported that a bomb-laden vehicle went off near Ahrar al-Sham's base, affiliated to the Ankara-backed National Liberation Front, in the town of Jandaris in Afrin region on Sunday, leaving 6 militants dead and 8 more severely injured.

 

In the meantime, the Arabic-language service of Hawar news reported that the Kurdish units launched fresh attacks on the Turkish troops and their allied militants in the village of Hayama in Bolboleh region in Northwestern Aleppo, inflicting 5 casualties on Faylaq al-Majd.

 

Violence and insecurity have been spreading in Northern Aleppo ever since the Turkish army and allied militants occupied Afrin.
