He warned that the world arrogant powers are after fomenting insecurity and instability in the region, and said, "Their attempts are focused on distorting Islam's name with terrorist acts and create a wave of Islamophobia in the world."
In relevant remarks in June, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Shamkhani blasted the US and its regional allies for fueling insecurity and instability in the region, and said that the Muslim countries should resist Washington's bullying.
"The US, the Zionist regime and certain regional countries have leading role in major crises in the region," Shamkhani said in a meeting with National Security Advisor to the Iraqi Prime Minister Faleh al-Fayad.
He underlined that some countries that think they could ensure their own security and stability of the region by putting their trust in the United States are practically bolstering terrorism, and said, "The White House leaders do not even hesitate to shamelessly attack Iraqi and Syrian armed forces in order to support terrorism.
