RNA - This is the second such arrest of Gheith in less than one month. He was arrested by Israeli forces on October 25 and was released the week after, WAFA reported.

He was also summoned many times by Israeli intelligence and security forces who told him he was banned from travelling outside Palestine, and that he was banned from entering the occupied West Bank for six months.

The so-called central commander of the Israeli army also issued an order on Thursday banning Gheith from interacting with a number of Palestinian officials.

Under the ban order, Gheith must not interact directly or indirectly communicate with a listed set of Palestinian government officials, most of them based in the occupied West Bank.

Government’s Spokesman Yousef al-Mahmoud condemned Gheith’s arrest saying Israel wants to show off that only it, and not the Palestinians, has the final say on all matters relating to the occupied city of Jerusalem.
