Rasa - The Israeli regime has been weakened on multiple fronts, including on the global stage by the United Nations (UN), on the domestic front as a result of political bickering, and militarily at the hands of a Palestinian resistance group, a commentator said.

RNA - Robert Inlakesh, a political analyst, in an interview referred to a recent move by home-renting company Airbnb to take down 200 rental listings in Israeli settlements located in the occupied West Bank, calling it “a small win” in a larger trend of Israeli isolation.

“It is a very positive development. It is a small win. It is not a complete win by any sort of stretch, but it is another factor that will add in to Israel feeling very isolated from international community,” Inlakesh said.

“It (the Tel Aviv regime) has been isolated by the United Nations as well because of its illegal actions. Its government is in a very weak position. Its military has been absolutely embarrassed by the Palestinian resistance in Gaza. Its government looks like it is on the verge of collapse,” he said.

According to Press TV, in 2016, the United Nations passed a resolution — with a remarkable abstention by the United States — condemning Israeli settlement construction on occupied Palestinian lands. The Israeli regime itself faces potential meltdown as a result of infighting among various hard-line groups. That infighting itself has been triggered by the recent humiliation of the Israeli military in a standoff with Hamas, at the end of which the Israeli regime was forced to accept an Egyptian-brokered ceasefire.
