Rasa - The Permanent Mission of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the UN issued a statement on Monday condemning the recent anti-Iran accusations made by US Representative Nikki Haley, saying that Iranophobia is her longstanding addiction.

RNA - “Today, once again, the US representative has abused the Middle East related agenda of the UN Security Council to baselessly accuse Iran through means of disinformation and fabrication,” read the statement.

The statement was issued after Haley told the UN Security Council that the international body should be focused on Iran instead of condemning Israeli bombardment of residential areas in Palestinian regions.

Iranian mission's communiqué went on to add that “the US representative, based on the fabricated and misleading information received from the Mojahedin-e-Khalq Organization (MKO) – a known terrorist organization responsible for killing 17,000 Iranians and many Iraqis, which has been delisted by America thereby allowing its soil to be their safe haven –unfoundedly accused Iran of committing terrorist acts".

The US representative also referred to what she called “an Iranian-backed attack on the US consulate in Basra”; again, a baseless accusation.

“Iranophobia is the longstanding addiction of the US representative, and whitewashing the Israeli regime’s crimes against the Palestinians and the unconditional support of the US for such crimes is her main mission,” said Iran’s mission to the UN.

According to Fars News Agancy, the statement concluded that “however, despite her repeated attempts in spreading such fabrications, she has already failed in deceiving the audience of such reports and in accomplishing such missions".

Back in mid-July, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said that US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu are strenuously attempting to promote Iranophobia in the world, but in vain.

He referred to the United States' vast attempts to pressure and bully Iran and the start of a specific war room by Washington, and said, "We have always announced to other countries, including the US allies, that confronting the US bullying should go beyond political undertakings and should lead to planned practical measures."
