Meantime, the Syrian army continued its military advances in other parts of Syria over the past 24 hours.
Tens of terrorists were killed and dozens more were injured during the Syrian army's operations in provinces across Syria.
Homs
The Syrian Army units, backed up by the country's Air Force, managed to repel a heavy ISIL attack in the Eastern deserts of Homs on Monday, inflicting major losses on the terrorists.
The army men engaged in heavy fighting with ISIL and warded off their attack near Aweiraz Dam in the Eastern desert of Homs.
In the meantime, the army's artillery units pounded ISIL's movements in the region, killing and wounding a number of terrorists and forcing the remaining pockets of them to retreat.
Meanwhile, warplanes bombed ISIL's movements along the borderline between Homs and Deir Ezzur provinces, regions near T2 Oil Pumping Station, Southeast of the town of al-Sukhnah in the Eastern desert of Palmyra, inflicting major losses on the terrorists.
Aleppo
Ankara-backed militants continued plundering people's assets in the occupied town of Afrin in Northwestern Aleppo on Monday amid a two-day-long infighting between the Turkish troops and militants in the town.
According to Fars News Agancy, an Ankara-backed militant group known as the National Army is looting civilians' assets in residential areas and trade centers in the occupied town of Afrin as Turkish army troops and some of their allied militants are exchanging fire with Tajamo'a al-Sharqiyah, another Ankara-backed militant group that has recently been defying orders issued by the Turkish army.
A local source said that people's assets have been looted in al-Vilat and al-Mahmoudiyah neighborhoods, where infighting in underway.
The source further said that a number of people, including civilians, have been killed and injured in blasts and heavy exchange of fire between the two sides, including a bomb-laden motorcycle explosion in Afrin.
Hama
The terrorists of Jeish al-Izzah attempted to prevail over the Syrian Army positions in the Northern countryside of Hama, a military source in the town of Mhardeh reported.
According to the military source, Jeish al-Izzah attempted to infiltrate the Army’s positions near the town of al-Zalaqiyat, massdar news reported.
However, the terrorists were seen by the pro-government National Defense Forces (NDF) making their way towards the Syrian Army’s posts near al-Zalaqiyat checkpoint.
The Syrian Arab Army then fired on the terrorists with their heavy machineguns, killing and wounding a number of the militants.
Due to the heavy casualties sustained by the militants, Jeish al-Izzah was forced to withdraw across the 20km long demilitarized zone.
