RNA - "The second and more important package of the US sanctions against Iran is the biggest test for US President Donald Trump's administration and standards and indicators show that the possibility of their failure is stronger than the chances of their victory," Atwan wrote on Sunday.

He added that the US sanctions will harm the country's allies, increase oil prices and leave impacts on the economy of consumer states, specially Europe which faces a cold winter.

"These sanctions will not leave any impact either, and Iran will use them to its own benefits. They will create more enemies for the US in the Middle-East and the world," Atwan wrote.

According to Fars News Agency, he reiterated that Washington and its allies will be "harmed and defeated when they come out of the dark tunnel of sanctions".

The US Treasury Department announced all sanctions on Iran lifted under the 2015 nuclear deal would be back in force on November 5.

According to Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, the sweeping sanctions will see 700 people blacklisted, including people who were granted relief under the 2015 deal, as well as over 300 new names.

The Iranian officials have downplayed the effects of new sanctions on the country and its oil exports.
