Rasa - Saudi Arabian Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman (MBS) had personally ordered the assassination of Saudi-national Jamal Khoshoggi, according to American writer and political analyst Stephen Lendman.

RNA - According to Turkish police, the US-based dissident journalist entered the Saudi embassy in Istanbul and never came out.

Author and radio host Lendman said the impetuous crown prince, whom media refer to as MBS, directly ordered the assassination of Khashoggi.

“MBS, absolutely, ordered the elimination of Jamal Khashoggi. That’s what happened,” Lendman said in an interview.

According to Press TV, the Chicago-based author and radio host suggests that following the international coverage of the incident, which harrowing details are coming out, Riyadh has been trying to whitewash and manage the blowback.

“The Saudis have been playing coy with this, trying to come up with cover stories to explain what was going on,” Lendman said.

The rulers in Riyadh will now pursue a Machiavellian solution to the situation and find a convenient patsy to shift the blame to for the crown prince’s crime, Lendman said.

Lendman said US officials have given Riyadh a few more days to concoct the cover story.
