RNA - "Iran's presence in Syria is an issue between the two countries' governments and the US is not entitled to comment on that. The US will fail in this case too," Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qassemi told reporters in a press conference in Tehran.

"The US is opposed to anyone who fights against terrorism and likes Syria to return to a situation in which the terrorists are present and grow. The US is not interested in stability and peace in Syria and improvement of the Syrian people's living," he added.

According to Fars News Agancy, Qassemi said that the US interference and presence in Syria without the permission of the country's government is illegal and against all international laws, adding that Washington has shown that it moves in line with increasing instability and insecurity and assistance to the terrorist groups in Syria.

Iran has been offering military advisory support to Syria and Iraq at the request of their government, enabling their army to speed up gains on various fronts against terror outfits.

Iran has been the main supporter of Syria in the course of the almost decade long struggle of the Arab nation with foreign-funded terrorism. Iraq and Syria's closeness to Iran has been the main source of animosity held by the US, Israeli regime and Saudi Arabia which have funneled billions of dollars and massive amounts of arms and weapon to terrorist-held areas of the war-torn country.
