Syria in Past 24 Hours:
Rasa - The US military forces continue supplying arms to the terrorists in Syria, a Russian daily reported on Wednesday, adding that most such shipments are arms and ammunition made in East European states.
Weapons ammunition
RNA - The Russian-language Eurasia paper reported that Bulgaria is still the main source of providing weapons for terrorist groups in Syria.

 

The daily further said that the Bulgarian weapons have been handed over to the terrorists through third-party states, adding that the US has been involved in delivering the Bulgarian weapons to the terrorists in Syria.

 

The daily went on to say that the US imported $98mln Bulgaria-made arms in 2016 when terrorists in Syria found access to Grade Missiles and other unique weapons, including anti-tank cannons.

 

The daily further said that the US has also sent ammunition to terrorists in Syria, disclosing that Bulgaria has sold 23 tons of ammunition to a US company that is affiliated to the British Chemring Military Products Company in the current year.

 

Quneitra

 

The Syrian army seized a large warehouse of terrorists' arms near the Israeli border, while combing through a town that was once controlled by the rebels.

 

According to Al-Ikhbariyah TV, the Syrian Army discovered the large weapons warehouse in the Northern countryside of Quneitra.

 

The weapons warehouse reportedly contained a large quantity of medicines and medical equipment that were supplied by the Israeli military.

 

Raqqa

 

The US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in Raqqa were put on alert on Wednesday after unknown assailants increased their attacks against them.

 

Media activists reported that unknown gunmen attacked an SDF checkpoint in the village of Ayed near al-Tabaqah in Western Raqqa, killing and severely wounding 5 of them.

 

They added that the SDF forces were immediately put on alert after the attack and detained several people as suspects.

 

Also, one of the SDF forces was injured after an unknown assailant fired at a vehicle carrying the SDF militia in Tal Abyadh street in Raqqa city.

 

The sources said that insecurities and attacks against the SDF have increased in regions occupied by them, adding that the SDF has erected at least 15 checkpoints from Seif al-Dolah street and February 23 street to al-Batani square in Northeastern parts of Raqqa's center.

 

Popular uprisings against the Washington-backed SDF have been reported in Deir Ezzur and Raqqa provinces in the past few weeks.

 

"Villagers in Kadiran in Western Raqqa printed anti-SDF graffiti on the walls and hoisted the Syrian government flags," sources said on Sunday, adding that the SDF later arrested a number of villagers.

 

Residents of Mahimidiyeh village in Northwestern Deir Ezzur also made a similar move, they added.

 

"The SDF has also put its gunmen on alert in the village of Sweidan as tensions with the villagers intensified."

 

The sources said that two SDF militias were killed and several more were wounded after unknown parties detonated a bomb in the Northern deserts of Deir Ezzur. 

 

Deir Ezzur

 

The Syrian Army dispatched more fresh forces and military equipment to Southeastern Deir Ezzur on Wednesday to intensify attacks on ISIL's movement and positions in the Eastern desert of Deir Ezzur.

 

The army forwarded tens of fresh soldiers and a large volume of military equipment to al-Sayal region near the town of Albu Kamal in Southeastern Deir Ezzur.

 

In the meantime, field sources said that the army has kept its soldiers on alert and has reinvigorated its combat-defense capabilities after ISIL's sporadic attacks.

 

Meantime, the Syrian Air Force carried out a number of combat flights over the ISIL's movements near Aweiraz Dam and a large region from the T2 Oil Pumping Station in Southwestern Deir Ezzur to the Eastern desert of Palmyra (Tadmur) in Eastern Homs.

 

ISIL suffered heavy casualties and it military hardware sustained major damage in the air raids.   

 

Hama

 

The Turkish Army forwarded a long convoy of military vehicles to Northern Hama and Idlib province on Wednesday.

 

The Turkish military convoy crossed the border into Northern Idlib via the village of Kafr Lusin.

 

The convoy that included 40 heavy vehicles, including tanks and trucks carrying logistical hardware headed to the regions that are under the Ankara forces' occupation in the town of Morek and in the village of Shir Maqar in Northern Hama as well as the monitoring posts in al-Sarman and Ashtabraq regions in Idlib.

 

Field sources reported that five military vehicles of the National Liberation Front terrorists accompanied the Turkish convoy.  

 

Idlib

 

A senior commander of Tahrir al-Sham Hay'at (the Levant Liberation Board or the Al-Nusra Front) was gunned down by unidentified assailants in Southern Idlib on Wednesday.

 

Abu Abdul Malik Qafqazi, a notorious field commander of Tahrir al-Sham, was killed after unknown raiders opened fire at him in a region between Tahtaya and al-Tamanna in Southern Idlib near the demilitarized zone created by Turkey and Russia.

 

Qafqazi was gunned down a few hours after another Tahrir al-Sham's commander was killed in Darkoush region near the town of Jisr al-Shughour in Western Idlib.

 

In the meantime, a group of Tahrir al-Sham terrorists attacked a base of ISIL in the town of al-Dana in Northern Idlib that inflicted several causalities on both sides.

 

Infighting has intensified after endorsement of the Sochi demilitarized zone agreement on Idlib.  

 

Aleppo

 

The London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported on Wednesday that the Turkish Army men and Ankara-backed militants have captured more than 2,300 civilians in occupied Afrin to blackmail their families.

 

According to Fars News Agancy, the SOHR said that the Ankara forces have, thus far, captured a sum of 2,338 resident of Afrin region since they occupied Afrin, adding that a sum of 835 civilians are still under arrest.

 

The SOHR went on to say that most of the captured civilians were released after Ankara forces tortured them and forced them to pay 10 million Syrian lira as ransom.

 

It further said that people in the region have been enraged after a number of captured civilians were killed under torture.

 

Sweida

 

The Syrian army troops stormed ISIL's strongholds in the Eastern desert of Sweida on Wednesday and captured more areas in Toloul al-Safa rugged terrain.

 

The army men engaged in fierce clashes again with the ISIL in Toloul al-Safa in the Eastern desert of Sweida, taking control over more areas in the depth of the rocks.

 

In the meantime, other units of the army, backed up by the artillery and missile units, managed to seize control over a number of positions and hideouts of the ISIL in the rocks, inflicting major losses on the terrorists.

 

The army further set up more positions in the newly-captured areas.

 

Field sources reported that the ISIL front in Toloul al-Safa is on the verge of collapse as the army has been advancing in the region, adding that the ISIL executed a woman they kidnapped in Sweida in July.
