RNA – Speaking during a mourning ceremony for Imam al-Husayn in the village of al-Nabi Uthman in the northern part of Lebanon’s Beqaa valley, Hujjat al-Islam Nabil Qawouq, the vice-president of the Executive Council of Hezbollah, said, “The plan of the United States and the Zionist regime in Syria failed and today, we are faced with enemies whose masks will be soon be removed from their filthy faces.”
The revered Lebanese Shi’ah cleric added, “The United States failed to assist the Takfiri terrorist phenomena of the al-Nusrah Front in Idlib and the Daesh east of the Euphrates and the Zionist regime has been compelled to intervene by engaging in bombings and attacks to protect the remnants of the Takfiri forces. This is proof of the victory of Syria and its allies.”
Hujjat al-Islam Qawouq stated, “Why has the Arab League been silent in the face of the Zionist regime’s aggressions? What is Saudi Arabia’s position in regard to the continuous hostilities against Syria? In regard to such issues, the silence of the Arab countries is worse than collusion and cooperation with the enemies and is considered a betrayal of Arabism and is evidence of the Gulf countries’ cooperation in any American aggression against Syria.”
He stressed that the United States made a strategic mistake against Hezbollah in Lebanon and said, “The United States thinks that Hezbollah won’t enter into a war in Syria and won’t be able to change the equations of war, while Hezbollah gained significant and valuable victories after the 2006 33-Day Israel-Lebanon War. By achieving victory over the Takfiris in Syria, they have been victorious against the will and goals of the United States, the Zionist regime, Saudi Arabia and dozens of countries.”
The Syrian army has managed to drive the terrorists out of most parts of the country and end Daesh’s territorial rule with help from Iran, Hezbollah and Russia.
It is now on the verge of fully liberating the southern parts near the occupied Golan Heights, prompting serious concerns in Tel Aviv, which supports the terrorists operating there against Damascus.
Syria is now preparing for an operation to liberate Idlib governorate, the last major stronghold of the Takfiri terrorist forces.
