RNA - Roots of bonds between the two nations are so deep and strong that enemies' attempts to sow discord between the two countries will get nowhere and bilateral ties will grow stronger day by day, Masjedi said in a meeting with a number of Iraqi media activists in Baghdad on Monday.
Iran will stand alongside Iraq in post-ISIL era, as it was standing beside it in the fight against the notorious terrorist group, he said.
In relevant remarks earlier this month, Iraqi Ambassador to Tehran Saber Aboud al-Moussavi stressed that his country owes much to Iran for its assistance in hard times, and support for the neighboring country after the US sanctions.
"The anti-Iran sanctions cannot change relations between Tehran and Baghdad," al-Moussavi was quoted as saying by the Arabic-language al-Nashrah news website.
"We will remain beside Iran in the sanctions conditions," he added.
Al-Moussavi reminded that Iran stood beside Iraq in hard times, and said, "It would be impossible to forget Tehran's assistance."
