RNA - The Syrian Army units stormed ISIL's strongholds in the Southwestern provinces of Dara'a and Quneitra, capturing a small but key town on Wednesday.
Dara'a, Quneitra
The army men, backed up by artillery units and the Air Force, engaged in fierce clashes with terrorists of ISIL near Seida region at border with the Israeli-occupied Golan in Quneitra and seized control over the town of al-Basah Sharqi.
In the meantime, other artillery and missile units pounded terrorists' positions and movements near the town of Tasil and Tal al-Jomou'a region in Hawz Yarmouk, destroying several bases, vehicles and a large volume of military equipment and killing a number of terrorists.
Also on Wednesday, the Syrian Army in Southeastern Dara'a discovered a mass grave with 16 bodies of its soldiers killed and buried by terrorists five years ago.
The army's engineering units continued the cleansing operation in the small town of Sahva al-Qamah in Southeastern Dara'a, discovering a mass grave with 16 bodies of army soldiers, who were killed and buried by terrorists while defending the Air Defense Battalion Base near the town in 2013.
Also in the past 24 hours, the Syrian Army men continued storming ISIL's strongholds in Dara'a and Quneitra province, regaining control over several key regions.
The army soldiers, backed up by the artillery and missile units, stormed ISIL in Hawz Yarmouk in Southwestern Dara'a, driving ISIL out of Jalin housings and Libi Company.
In the meantime, other units of the army clashed fiercely with ISIL and captured the towns and villages of Saida Joulan, Khan Saida, al-Lobid and al-Maqraz.
A number of terrorists were killed and their military equipment were destroyed in the attacks.
Idlib
Russia resumed providing the Syrian government with military aid as the country’s Army is gaining ground against terrorists nationwide.
Russian heavy laden flag ship Ro-Ro Sparta was spotted crossing the Mediterranean Bosporus en route to Syria’s Tartus, carrying military cargo mostly ammunition, shells and missiles, the AMN reported.
The recent cargo is expected to be specifically sent to boost the Syria Army’s upcoming assault on the terrorist-controlled Idlib province.
Also on Wednesday, three more commanders of ISIL and Tahrir al-Sham Hay'at (the Levant Liberation Board or the Al-Nusra Front) were killed in a fresh round of clashes in the militant-held province of Idlib, field sources reported.
Abu Mahdi al-Shami and Abu Abbas Tanfizi, two security commanders of Tahrir al-Sham, were gunned down by unknown assailants along a road connecting Sarmada region to Ra'as al-Hassn in Northern Idlib.
In the meantime, Abu Saeed Checheni, the deputy commander of ISIL's base in Jisr al-Shughour, was killed in an attack by Tahrir al-Sham in Southwestern Idlib.
Meanwhile, a number of unknown raiders attacked a base of Tahrir al-Sham in the town of Kafr Takharim in Northwestern Idlib, killing several gunmen of the terrorist group.
Also in the past 24 hours, Tahrir al-Sham Hay'at set up yet another Operations Room to slow down the Syrian Army forces' upcoming operation in Western Idlib and Eastern Lattakia, militant-affiliated sources said.
The sources quoted Salahuddin al-Kurdi, one of the commanders of Tahrir al-Sham, as disclosing that Tahrir al-Sham members are preparing for confronting the Syrian army operation in Lattakia.
The sources further said that terrorist groups in Lattakia have embarked on forming a United Operations Room and deployed forces in different regions.
Tahrir's new Operation Room came after the army dispatched a large number of forces and equipment to the Northwestern part of the country to launch a large-scale operation to purge Lattakia, Western Idlib from Jisr al-Shughour to al-Ghaab Plailn in Western Aleppo of Tahrir al-Sham and other terrorist groups.
Sweida
The ISIL terrorists' massive attacks against different towns and villages in Sweida province were launched from al-Tanf region in Homs province which hosts the US-backed militants, media sources said on Wednesday.
The Arabic-language al-Mayadeen news channel reported that the ISIL terrorists launched heavy attacks against the towns of Douma, Tarba, Shabaki, al-Sowaimareh and Rami in Northern and Northeastern Sweida from al-Tanf region after suicide attacks.
The Syrian army and popular forces repelled the terrorists' offensives preceded by suicide attacks, killing tens of militants.
Also in the past 24 hours, the Syrian Army dispatched more soldiers and military hardware to several regions in Eastern Sweida after the government forces repelled terrorists' heavy offensive.
The army forwarded a long convoy of military vehicles and trucks carrying equipment to Eastern Sweida.
Over 50,000 army men, popular forces and tribal fighters have been dispatched to Sweida for cleansing the regions that have been under the control or attack of the terrorists.
The government forces have, thus far, purged the villages of Sharihi, Shabaki, Douma and Rami in Eastern Sweida of terrorists.
Also on Wednesday, the Syrian Army soldiers and popular forces engaged in fierce clashes with ISIL in the Southern province of Sweida and managed to repel their heavy attack after inflicting tens of casualties on the terrorists.
The army men, supported by popular force, exchanged heavy fire with ISIL that attacked the villages of al-Matouneh, Douma and Tima in Northeastern Sweida, fending off the terrorists' offensive.
In the meantime, residents of the village of Rami clashed with ISIL terrorists and did now allow them to enter their region.
Also, the army forces along with popular fighters fought the terrorists in Tal Basir region in Eastern Sweida and captured the region.
Meanwhile, people in the village of Shabaki and the army men laid siege on the terrorists.
Local sources reported that a sum of 50 civilians were killed and 78 more were wounded in ISIL's suicide attacks in a local market and in Maslakh district in Sweida city and in several villages in the city outskirt.
The sources further said that two of the suicide attackers were arrested before carrying out their attacks.
Field sources reported last month that the army sent a large convoy of military equipment to the Eastern desert of Sweida.
They added that the convoy which included several tanks, missile-launchers and vehicles equipped with heavy weapons was sent to Tal Sa'ad, the frontline of battle against the ISIL, through the village of al-Janineh in Northeastern Sweida.
Meantime, the Syrian army units engaged in fierce clashes with the ISIL terrorists in Badiyeh region of Sweida province, including al-Harmieh region.
Also, the army's air force and artillery units pounded the ISIL positions in al-Kara'a, al-Habirieh, Kharbat al-Ambashi and al-Tamthouneh regions, inflicting tolls and damage on them.
Raqqa
Rifts are widening among the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) militias in Raqqa, local sources reported on Wednesday, adding that popular uprising against the SDF has also intensified.
According to Fars News Agancy, the sources further said that Ibrahim al-Shavakh nom de guerre Abu Teif al-Hendavi, an Arab commander of a SDF regiment in the town of Tal Abyadh in Northern Raqqa, was dismissed from his post.
The SDF members further arrested al-Shavakh, they said.
The sources further said that the SDF gunmen have captured a number of people accusing them of cooperating with the Free Army in the town of Solouk in Tal Abyadh.
In the meantime, three SDF militias were killed and several more were wounded after a bomb planted on their vehicle went off in the village of al-Mankhar East of Raqqa.
The SDF's brutalities against people in Raqqa province have enraged them, making them to take to the streets in protest.
