RNA - "Today, we are living in an atmosphere that the wicked enemies and evil humans like the current US rulers and some of their puppets are around us and they do not understand anything but the language of force," General Hatami said, addressing a ceremony to inaugurate the production line of Iran's Fakour air-to-air missile in Tehran on Monday.
"The enemies imagine that they can deprive the Iranian nation of their rights of using their resources and interests but they are not aware that we will stand against their bullying and sanctions with all our power and the Iranian nation has proved that it will give a firm response to any arrogant power with excessive demands," he added.
According to Fars News Agancy, General Hatami underscored that Iran will never take permission from anyone to increase its defense power to safeguard its national security and interests, and said as Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei has said Iran will give a crushing response to any threat at the same level.
His remarks came after Trump and his Iranian counterpart President Hassan Rouhani traded hostile warnings, amid rising tensions between the two countries.
Trump tweeted that Iran "will suffer consequences the likes of which few throughout history have ever suffered before" if it threatened the US.
