RNA - "It is true that the US apparently does not speak of military threat but we have compelling information that the new and cruel US administration has been attempting in the past 1.5 years to force the US army to launch a military aggression (against Iran) but the commanders have shrugged off," General Baqeri said, addressing a meeting in Tehran on Sunday.
"Therefore, we should be prepared for any incident," he stressed.
In relevant remarks in June, General Baqeri underlined that his forces would respond to any threat or aggression by enemies.
"The nation's zealous sons in the Army, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), the Law Enforcement Police, the defense ministry and Basij (volunteer) forces will not hesitate even for a moment to give a firm and crushing response to any threat, aggression and greed of enemies and ill-wishers," General Baqeri said.
Also, earlier this month, Khatam ol-Anbia Centcom Chief Major General Gholam Ali Rashid said the Iranian Armed Forces are fully prepared to give a crushing response to any threat and aggression.
"The Iranian Armed Forces and honorable nation are vigilant and prepared, more than the past, to protect and defend Iran's territories against any threat of the terrorist and Takfiri groups as well as the mischiefs of the ominous regional coalition," General Rashid said, addressing the IRGC Ground Force commanders in Tehran.
"We will not let any threat at any level go unanswered and there will certainly be a firm and crushing response" to any threat or hostile action, he added.
