Rasa - The Damascus Army continued its advances against terrorists in Eastern Dara'a, deploying forces only 2km away from a Jordanian border town on Sunday.
Syrian Army forces

RNA - The Syrian government troops advanced against terrorists in the depth of militant-held regions and captured al-Zomayr Battalion Base in Eastern Dara'a.

 

Meantime, the Syrian army continued its military advances in other parts of Syria over past 24 hours.

 

Tens of terrorists were killed and dozens more were injured during the Syrian army's operations in provinces across Syria.

 

Dara'a

 

The Syrian Army troops continued their advances against terrorists in Eastern Dara'a, deploying forces only 2km away from a Jordanian border town on Sunday.

 

The army men advanced against terrorists in the depth of militant-held regions and captured al-Zomayr Battalion Base in Eastern Dara'a.

 

Other units of the army managed to cut off terrorists' supply lines between Eastern and Western Dara'a, gaining control over al-Zamitiyeh heights.

 

The army men have now deployed forces only 2km away from Jordan's al-Ramtha border town, a field source reported.

 

The army men are inching closer to the terrorists' stronghold towns of Seida and al-Na'eimeh in Eastern Dara'a, the sources added.  

 

Idlib

 

Abu al-Qa'aqa'a al-Jazrawi, a senior commander of Tahrir al-Sham Hay'at (the Levant Liberation Board or the Al-Nusra Front), was gunned down by unidentified raiders in Idlib province on Sunday as infighting among various terrorist groups has intensified in the Northwestern province.

 

Al-Jazrawi, the field commander of Tahrir al-Sham in Jabal al-Turmmen, was killed by unknown assailants near the small town of Hazarin in Southern Idlib.

 

In the meantime, Tahrir al-Sham captured the town of Sarmin in Eastern Idlib after heavy fighting with ISIL rival terrorists.

 

Also, a number of terrorists were killed after a bomb-laden vehicle went off near the small town of Harza in Northeastern Idlib and also in another blast in the town of Khan Sheikhoun in Southern Idlib.

 

Normal life in militant-held regions in Idlib province is in complete chaos and insecurity specially after growing infighting among rival terrorist groups.

 

Hama

 

Terrorist groups in Northern Hama agreed on setting up a joint operation room after the Syrian Army pounded the strongholds of Tahrir al-Sham Hay'at on Sunday.

 

The army's artillery and missile units shelled heavily Tahrir al-Sham's positions and movements in al-Latamina, al-Arba'ein, Hasraya and Kafr Zita in Northern Hama.

 

Also, other artillery units pounded the terrorist groups' positions in the village of al-Sakhar.

 

A number of militants were killed and their vehicles were damaged in the attacks.

 

In the meantime, the remaining pockets of the terrorists escaped towards Idlib province.

 

Local sources reported that the army attacks on terrorists' positions came in reprisal for Tahrir al-Sham artillery attack on the positions of government troops in Northern Hama in recent days.

 

The sources further said that a number of terrorists of the Free Army, deployed in Northern Hama, have endorsed an agreement with other militant groups to face the army's rapid advances in the region in the North.

 

Lattakia

 

According to Fars News Agancy, the Russian Air Defense Units fended off one of the largest drone attacks on the Russia-run Humeimim military airport in Lattakia province, well-informed sources disclosed on Sunday.

 

The sources said that the air defense units fired over 10 missiles at several attack drones that raided Humeimim airbase in the coastal province of Lattakia in Western Syria.

 

The sources went on to say that the air defense intercepted most of the drones, adding that it was the largest drone attack on Humeimim since December 31st last year.

 

The Humeimim airbase has come under several drone attacks in the last month.

 

Aleppo

 

The Turkish Army put its forces on alert after two bombs went off in Afrin region in Northwestern Aleppo and fresh infighting started among the Ankara-backed militants, a Kurdish media outlet reported on Sunday.

 

Hawar news reported that two bombs went off in the town of Afrin in Central Garage near Ashiyeh Petrol Station leaving a number of casualties among the Ankara-backed militants.

 

In the meantime, the Turkey-backed gunmen engaged in fierce clashes in the Central part of the town of Afrin and also in Jandaris region.

 

Local sources reported that the Turkish army has placed its troops on alert in Afrin and closed off all roads to the town after the blasts.

 

Sources in the Turkey-controlled town of al-Bab also reported that the Ankara-backed militant front seems to feel deep concerns after their comrades sustained heavy casualty in Afrin.
