RNA – Speaking at the meeting of the Council of Enjoining the Good and Forbidding the Wrong of Qom Province at the Holy Shrine of Lady Fatimah al-Ma’sumah, Hujjat al-Islam Mojtaba Zonnour, the representative of the people of Qom in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, emphasizing that the control of various anomalies, in particular the lack of hijab, needs to have a strong and well-organized network, and said, “It must be noted that if a crime has a cost for individuals, crime will certainly decrease, while crimes will increase if we are inattentive  towards crimes.”

Referring to the opinion of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution [Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei], the senior Iranian cleric referred to the issue of the hijab and chastity and said, “In opposition to the great vices, the Supreme Leader has never denied this issue that we must not engage in the issue of the hijab and chastity. In his speeches, he has also raised the issue of prioritization in the field of enjoining the good and forbidding the wrong.”

Hujjat al-Islam Zonnour emphasized that the invalidation of the nature of the Islamic system of government is a vice which seriously harms the system and said, “In this regard, it must be noted that the collapse of the Islamic system is not purely physical, and that which can be problematic for the system is the issue of the invalidation of the nature of the system.”

The member of the National Security Council of the Islamic Consultative Assembly noted that corruption and vice have different layers and levels, stated, “The greatest vices are those which damages the Islamic system, and the most important of these is the loss of the confidence of the people, because if the façade of the system is distorted, the system is threatened. For this reason, the harms which affect the trust, belief and faith of the people must be identified and eliminated.”

He noted that today, the issue of the lack of hijab and the spread of corruption are purposefully pursued by the enemies, said, “If the people in Qom see that some women do not observe the hijab, they will convey a wrong image of this city and will tarnish the image of Qom.”

Hujjat al-Islam Zonnour added, “Today, in religious families, we are faced with problems because the enemies have been able to influence the thoughts of the children of some of these families through their economic and cultural attacks.”
