RNA - Held captive since early March 2018, al-Kiswani has not received proper medical treatment in Israeli lock-ups, where medics have only provided him with light pain soothers.

The lawyer added, following a visit to the Ofer jail, that traces of heavy beating appeared all over the detainee’s body.

Al-Kiswani had been aggressively beaten by Israeli officers using an electric truncheon along with soldier boots. He had been exhaustively interrogated in the Mascoubiya detention center for up to 18 hours a day. As a result he had spent sleepless nights.

The statement further noted that al-Kiswani had been tied to a metal chair since the first day of his detention and banned from lawyer-visits for a couple of months as part of the ongoing psycho-physical torture he has been subjected to.
