Also on Wednesday, the Syrian Army's artillery units opened heavy fire at the strongholds and movements of the terrorists in Dara'a province to weaken their defense capabilities in preparation for the major assault of the pro-government forces in the South.

The artillery units pounded terrorists' positions and movements in the towns of al-Lajah, al-Harra and its outskirt and al-Sowar in Eastern Dara'a, killing a number of terrorists and damaging their military hardware.

The army launched the attacks after terrorists rejected the Syrian Army's reconciliation plan in Southern Syria.

Meanwhile, local sources in Northern Dara'a reported that a child was killed in the terrorists' missile attack on the international highway near Khirbet Qazaleh.

In the meantime, the army's helicopters dropped a large number of leaflets over the towns of Ibta'a and Da'el in Northern Dara'a, calling on the people to help army purge terrorists from Southern Syria.

According to field sources, the army plans to kick off the assault through the directions of Basr al-Harir and al-Lajah, Quneitra, Basir al-Sham in Eastern Dara'a and Dara'a city.

The army men further advanced and drove ISIL out of Khirbet al-Ambashi.

The US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) embarked on capturing tens of civilians in Raqqa and Hasaka after local people stood in opposition to the measures adopted by the militia.

Deir Ezzur

The US forces and their allied SDF have been transferring ISIL terrorists to the Western Bank of the Euphrates River to launch attacks on the Syrian Army in the region, a media outlet said on Wednesday.

The Arabic-language al-Watan daily quoted militant-affiliated sources as disclosing that the US forces and the SDF have halted clashes on the Eastern bank of the Euphrates River in Eastern Deir Ezzur to concentrate on a vital region bordering Southern Hasaka and Northern Deir Ezzur.

The daily further said that ISIL terrorists are currently penetrating into the Western bank of the Euphrates River from the East to launch attacks on the Syrian Army positions along a region stretching between the border with Iraq and Deir Ezzur city.

Military analysts stress that the ISIL could never cross the Euphrates River from the East to the Western Bank to attack the army without the assistance of the US military and the SDF.

Field reports had previously revealed that the US military had embarked on transferring ISIL terrorists to Albu Kamal strategic region to attack the army positions on the Western bank of the Euphrates River near the border with Iraq.

Homs

The Syrian Army troops' full control over a vast region from Eastern Homs to the borders with Iraq in Deir Ezzur province has foiled the US plan to provide support for ISIL in the region, army officers said on Wednesday.

The officers reported that the army has dispatched a large number of troops and heavy military equipment to Syria's Badiyeh (desert) in Southern Deir Ezzur, and restored sustainable security to vast regions from the ancient town of Palmyra (Tadmur) in Eastern Homs to the town of Albu Kamal in Southeastern Deir Ezzur.

They went on to say that the army further drove terrorists out of regions that stretch from Humeimeh in Southwestern Deir Ezzur to al-Wa'ar Dam and the border region with Iraq, from T2 Oil Pumping Station to T3 Oil Pumping Station and the borderline between South of the town of Albu Kamal in Deir Ezzur and the US-run al-Tanf region in Southern Homs.

They further said that the army's strong presence in Badiyeh has foiled the plot hatched by the US military and its allied militants to help the ISIL terrorists move into the region.

The officers said that the ISIL has recently conducted an attack on the army strongholds in Syria's Badiyeh via the al-Tanf at border with Iraq and with the backup of the US forces.

Aleppo

A large number of people in the town of Manbij in Northeastern Aleppo poured into the streets in a show of opposition to an agreement reached by the US and Turkey on shared control over the city.

According to Fars News Agancy, the Kurdish-language Hawar news reported that thousands of civilians in Manbij took to the streets and gathered in al-Batlah square at the Eastern entrance of the town.

Hawar news went on to say that the popular uprising further spread across the Central parts of the town, adding that the demonstrators condemned the agreement endorsed by the American and Turkish armies over the town.

The protestors further called for the expulsion of occupiers from Syria's territories, Hawar news said.
