RNA - In a statement released by the Arab League, Aboul Gheit said the Arab states’ support for UNRWA activities is very important to maintain regional stability and address the humanitarian crises in Gaza in particular, Palinfo reported.

The statement pointed to recent generous contributions made by Arab countries, including Qatar, to UNRWA.

Aboul Gheit made his appeal after he received a letter on the difficult financial position of the agency from UNRWA commissioner-general Pierre Krahenbuhl.
