Syria in Last 24 Hours:
Rasa - The ISIL's heavy offensive on government forces' positions was warded off by the Syrian Army troops, backed up by the country's Air Force, in Eastern Homs on Monday, and the terrorists sustained major losses.
Syria

RNA - The army men engaged in fierce clashes with the ISIL in Humeimeh region in Eastern Homs.

 

The ISIL suffered heavy casualties and retreated from the battlefield.

 

Meantime, the Syrian army continued its military advances in other parts of Syria over the past 24 hours.

 

Tens of terrorists were killed and dozens more were injured during the Syrian army's operations in provinces across Syria.

 

Homs

 

The Syrian Army troops, backed up by the country's Air Force, managed to fend off ISIL's heavy offensive in Eastern Homs, inflicting major losses on the terrorists on Monday.

 

The army men engaged in fierce clashes with ISIL in Humeimeh region in Eastern Homs.

 

In the meantime, the artillery and missile units opened heavy fire at ISIL invaders in Humeimeh and T2 Oil Pumping Station.

 

The ISIL suffered heavy casualties and retreated from the battlefield.

 

Also, the army aircraft pounded the remaining pockets of ISIL in Badiyeh (desert) in Eastern Homs, near al-Ma'eizileh Dam and border region between Deir Ezzur and Homs, killing and wounding a number of militants and destroying their equipment.

 

Local sources, meantime, reported that the army's engineering units carried out mop-up operation in Eastern Homs and found a large depot of arms and ammunition of the ISIL in the village of al-Habiyeh with a number of missiles, mortar shells, bombs and landmines. 

 

Hama

 

The Syrian Army opened heavy fire at a convoy of terrorists in al-Ghaab Plain in Western Hama on Monday, destroying a number of military vehicles and killing at least 13 terrorists.

 

The army's missile units targeted a convoy of terrorists from the National Liberation Front along a road connecting the villages of al-Ankavi and Qalidin in al-Ghaab Plain in Northwestern Hama.

 

At least two vehicles were destroyed and thirteen militants were killed and several more were wounded in the attack. 

 

Sweida

 

The Syrian Army troops continued to advance against ISIL in Northeastern Sweida, inflicting tens of casualties on the terrorists on Monday.

 

The army men stormed ISIL's positions in Tal al-Asfar region in the Southern desert of Sweida, imposing control over more key points.

 

Also, the army's artillery and missile units and aircraft pounded ISIL's positions and movements in the region, killing or wounding a number of terrorists.

 

In the meantime, local sources reported that tens of ISIL terrorists were killed or wounded and a large volume of their military hardware was destroyed in the army's operation in Badiyeh of Sweida.

 

The sources further said that the army men have now reached 50km away from al-Tanf region in Southeastern Homs that is under the US forces' control. 

 

Aleppo

 

Media sources said on Monday that the Turkish Army Forces and allied militants "are plundering" the historical artifacts in Afrin region in Northwestern Aleppo.

 

Kurdish-language Hawar news quoted Salahuddin Sino, a member of Afrin Artifact Department, as saying that the army and Ankara-backed militants are now looting historical artifacts of Roza Site in the village of Tarmisha in Shih region in Afrin.

 

According to Fars News Agancy, he further told Hawar news that the Ankara forces have forced the villagers to leave the region and do not allow anyone to return to the region.

 

Sino said that the Turkish forces have embarked on excavation operation in the entire historical areas in Roza Site and have stolen valuable artifacts.

 

Sino further pointed to the destruction of tens of historical sites in Afrin, adding that the army destroyed has fifty percent of Tal Ayndara Temple, which is one of the most important historical sites in Afrin listed in the UNESCO list, in the early days of aggression against the Kurds in Northwestern Aleppo.

 

In the meantime, local sources reported that Turkey-backed militants captured a sum of ten civilians in the villages of Shirawa region in Afrin and asked their families to pay $1,000 for their release.
