RNA - The army men battled with ISIL after the terrorist group stormed the small towns of Salehiyeh and al-Dowayer in Southeastern Deir Ezzur.

The army forces warded off the attack, killing a large number of terrorists and destroying their military hardware.

Meantime, the Syrian army continued its military advances in other parts of Syria over the past 24 hours.

Tens of terrorists were killed and dozens more were injured during the Syrian army's operations in provinces across Syria.

Deir Ezzur

The Syrian Army troops engaged in fierce clashes with the remaining pockets of ISIL terrorists in Southeastern Deir Ezzur and fended off their attack on Tuesday.

In a similar development on Monday, the army men engaged in fierce clashes with ISIL after the terrorists attacked the towns of al-Hasarat and al-Sha'afa on the Western bank of the Euphrates River and in Southeastern Deir Ezzur.

Also, the army's artillery and missile units opened heavy fire at the positions and movements of the terrorists in the region.

The army further inflicted major casualties on the terrorists and forced their remaining pockets to retreat.

Raqqa

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and other US-backed militant groups engaged in a fresh round of clashes in Raqqa province on Tuesday as similar tensions in Raqqa city have increased.

SDF's security forces arrested Commander of Thowar al-Raqqa Brigade Abu Amar in the town of Ein Issa in Northern Raqqa.

Also, local sources reported that the SDF gunmen opened fire at Abu Amar's vehicles to stop it only a week after heavy fighting between the two US-backed militant groups in Raqqa city's neighborhoods.

Other sources in Northern Raqqa reported that four SDF militias were killed in a blast in the 93rd Division Base near a base of the American and French forces in Ein Issa.

The SDF kept its gunmen on alert after the explosion while the US forces shot flares over the field for hours and started reconnaissance planes over the region.

The SDF claimed that the blast occurred due to military exercises for defusing landmines.

Aleppo-Idlib

The terrorists groups in Northern Syria have been using the Turkish military’s presence in Aleppo, Idlib, Lattakia and Hama provinces to launch attacks on the Syrian Army troops and their allies, a source in Aleppo said.

The source told massdar news that the terrorists have repeatedly launched attacks on the Syrian Army’s positions in the Aleppo, Lattakia, Idlib and Hama governorates, prompting the latter to respond with force.

However, the Syrian Army is in a bind – while they often respond to attacks from the rebels, they are limited to shelling and missile strikes in order to avoid escalating the situation with the Turkish military.

Making things worse, the Turkish military has been moving into areas and establishing ‘observation’ points, without approval from their Russian and Iranian counterparts.

In particular, the Turkish military recently established an observation point in the Jabal Al-Akrad region of Northern Lattakia.

Since the Turkish military’s arrival in Northern Lattakia, the terrorist groups have been launching heavy attacks against the Syrian Army.

According to Fars News Agancy, in a matter of a week, the militant groups have killed over 15 soldiers in the Northern countryside of Lattakia, which is the highest death toll for the government forces in nearly two years.

The Russian and Iranian forces are expected to setup observation posts in the coming weeks.

Dara'a

The ISIL launched attacks on the positions of the rival terrorist group of Free Syrian Army (FSA) in Southwestern Dara'a on Tuesday.

ISIL-affiliated Jeish Khalid bin Walid began the assault by storming the FSA positions on the outskirts Heet, which is a town that has been at the front-line of the battle for Western Dara’a for over a year.

According to pro-opposition activists in Dara’a, heavy clashes are ongoing between the two rival groups in Heet, with the ISIL terrorists still on the offensive this morning. The ISIL claims they seized two points from the Free Syrian Army, while also killing at least five rebel fighters.

ISIL often advances at this axis in West Dara’a, but they later retreat after rebels launch a counter-assault.
