Meantime, the Syrian army continued its military advances in other parts of Syria over the past 24 hours.
Tens of terrorists were killed and dozens more were injured during the Syrian army's operations in provinces across Syria.
Damascus
A total of 124 improvised explosive devices, planted by the ISIL terrorists, have been defused in liberated districts of the former Yarmouk camp for Palestinian refugees in Southern Damascus in the past 24 hours, a Russian military official said.

"Sapper units continue efforts to demine liberated regions of the former Yarmouk camp for Palestinian refugees. In the past day, 22 buildings were demined, with seven anti-tank mines, 22 mortar rounds and 124 improvised explosive devices defused," he said.
In the past 24 hours, 206 people returned to their homes in Homs province and 105 people to Eastern Ghouta.
Homs
The Syrian Air Defense units repelled a missile attack on a military airport in Southwestern Homs on Thursday night, the Syrian state news agency reported on Friday.
SANA reported that the air defense units intercepted missiles fired at a military airport in the Central part of the country.
In the meantime, the Arabic-language website of Sputnik reported that the air defense units repelled the missile attack on al-Daba'a airbase in Southwestern Homs.
The Arabic Sputnik further quoted well-informed sources as reporting that the units intercepted most of the fired missiles and the rest of the missiles hit the farms surrounding the airbase.
Meanwhile, local sources in Homs province reported that the Syrian Air Defense Units' missiles intercepted the violating warplanes.
Syrian National Dialogue
Russian President Vladimir Putin affirmed the need to continue efforts to reach a political settlement to the crisis in Syria taking into account the Syrian National Dialogue Congress recommendations.
According to Fars News Agancy, Putin made his remarks during a joint press conference with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) on Thursday, SANA reported.
“Russia will continue working with the Syrian government and the opposition in the framework of the Astana process. This format of negotiations has proved its effectiveness and gives a significant result since it is mainly based on the necessity of adhering to the principle of respect for the Syrian sovereignty,” said Putin.
Putin underlined the importance of forming the constitutional committee that has been agreed upon at the Syrian National Dialogue Congress held in Sochi and launching its work, welcoming Syria’s decision to send its delegation to the UN to take part in this committee.
