RNA - Medical sources affirmed that Idris Shaker Jabarin, 58, died of teargas inhalation fired by Israeli forces in Sa’ir town in al-Khalil.
The Israeli police on Tuesday evening violently attacked a protest held near Bab al-Amud in the Old City of Jerusalem to mark the 70th anniversary of Nakba, as eyewitnesses announced that a number of demonstrators suffered bruises after they were severely assaulted by the Israeli policemen.
Also, violent clashes broke out between Palestinian citizens and the Israeli police in al-Izariya and Abu Dis towns East of Jerusalem, as, according to eyewitnesses, the police heavily fired sound bombs, teargas canisters and rubber-coated metal bullets at the citizens.
According to Fars News Agancy, Israeli armed forces have critically injured an unarmed Palestinian with a live bullet in his back during ongoing confrontations at the Northern entrance to the city of Al-Bireh in Ramallah, while they wounded scores of Palestinians who were protesting at the Northern entrance to the city of Bethlehem. Also, a large number of Palestinians suffered suffocation as Israeli soldiers used extensive tear gas to disperse people.
Palestinians marked the 70th anniversary of Nakba on Tuesday, a day after the Israeli Army killed more than 60 people and wounded 2,700 during the rallies in the Gaza Strip on Monday.
The rallies also coincided with the moving of the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, in line with the Washinton's recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel in December, furthering stoking tensions and angering Palestinians.
