RNA - "The nuclear deal, before anything else, is a security agreement in area of non-proliferation and any move against it will weaken the non-proliferation mechanism and exacerbate crises in the region and will confront all of us with the two choices of security and insecurity," Araqchi said at a meeting with his Swedish counterpart Annika Soder in Tehran on Sunday.
He also warned that any attempt to link the nuclear deal with other issues and ignore the US violation of the agreement is a wrong approaches and will further complicate the regional and international situation.
"The nuclear deal is a colossal historical experience and choice and its success in light of collective efforts and support will ensures the interests for entire world," Araqchi said.
In relevant remarks late in April, Araqchi lashed out at Europe for taking a blunt stance against the US violations of the nuclear deal in a move to appease President Donald Trump's excessive demands.
He made the remarks in a meeting with British Minister for Middle East Alistair Burt who visited Tehran to consult with Iranian officials on the latest regional issues and developments related to the nuclear deal.
According to Fars News Agancy, during the meeting, the senior Iranian diplomat strongly criticized Britain, France and Germany for their attempts to appease Trump at the expense of pressuring Iran, calling it a wrong and failed policy.
Burt, for his part, underscored Britain's commitment to the nuclear deal.
In the meeting, the two sides conferred on the latest developments related to the nuclear deal, the regional crises, specially in Syria and Yemen, and the financial problems posed to Iran because of the British government's procrastination in implementing its undertakings under the nuclear deal.
Burt stressed that the British government is making serious efforts to resolve the financial problems.
