RNA - Dehqani made the remarks on Saturday, addressing a conference on campaign against terrorism in Dushanbe.
He underscored the need to fight against foreign aggression and occupation in a bid to prevent expansion of extremism in the world today
The 70-year occupation of Palestine is an issue that needs to be seriously on the agenda of international organizations, Dehqani said.
He also said that "military adventurism" of certain countries which has contributed to the insecurity engulfing the world over the past fifteen years has to be terminated.
Dehqahi referred to more than 17,000 Iranian victims of terror, saying that the threat of terrorism and extremism and the subsequent sufferings require collective efforts to uproot these two ominous phenomena.
Removing poverty, reducing unemployment, avoiding marginalization of parts of the society, cutting the financial resources of terrorism, transparency and avoiding double-standard policies in the face of terrorism and extremism as well as preventing the misuse of media and social networks in assistance to the expansion of these two phenomena are of special significance, he said.
In relevant remarks last month, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif blasted the US for launching military attacks against Syria, expressing concern that the United States' increased military moves had slowed down political efforts to resolve the crisis.
"The US and some of its western allies' military actions in Syria have created dire conditions and lessened the grounds to reach a political solution," Zarif told reporters upon arrival in Moscow to discuss Syria with his Russian and Turkish counterparts as three guarantor states to establish peace in the war-torn Arab country.
According to Fars News Agancy, he said that during the tripartite meeting, Iran will reiterate the need for efforts to find a political solution to the crisis in Syria and opposition to any attempts to distort the country's territorial integrity and national sovereignty.
Zarif underlined again Tehran's opposition to the use of chemical weapons, but stressed that "impartial international experts should be hired to prove chemical weapons' use in any place, and no country can make unilateral decisions and actions" before realities are uncovered.
