Dehqani is visiting Dushanbe to participate in an international anti-terrorism conference in Tajikistan's capital.
He, meantime, pointed to the status quo of Iran-Tajikistan relations, and said, "Tehran is ready to cooperate with Tajikistan and other countries in the region on fight against terrorism and extremism."
Tajikistan's foreign minister, for his part, hailed Iran's achievements in various spheres that are based on local capacities, and said that Tajikistan considers Iran's achievements as its own.
He also called for more economic cooperation between the two countries, and expressed Dushanbe's willingness to continue coordination with Iran in the framework of regional and international organizations such as the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) and the United Nations.
According to Fars News Agancy, in a relevant development in late April, high-ranking Iranian and Tajik officials in a meeting in Dushanbe underlined the necessity for the further development of economic and energy cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting was held between Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and Tajik President Emomali Rahmon.
During the meeting, they discussed bilateral ties as well as regional and international issues.
They also underlined developing cooperation in political, economic, cultural, energy and technology fields.
