The men further engaged in fierce clashes with the terrorists near the Northern farms of the town of al-Rastan and the villages of Taloul al-Hamr, Asileh and Ezzeddeen region.
Meantime, the Syrian army continued its military advances in other parts of Syria over the past 24 hours.
Tens of terrorists were killed and dozens more were injured during the Syrian army's operations in provinces across Syria.
Homs
The Syrian Army's artillery units pounded terrorists' positions and movements after the latter violated ceasefire in the Northern Homs de-escalation zone on Friday.

Other army soldiers, meantime, clashed with terrorists in al-Mashrou'a and al-Mohata regions and near the small towns of al-Qantou and Hawsh Hajwah in Northern and Northwestern Homs after the terrorists' attack on government forces' positions.
In the meantime, the artillery units opened fire at terrorists near the villages of Akrad al-Daseniyeh and Jabourin in Northwestern Homs, killing and wounding a number of terrorists who breached the ceasefire regime.
Well-informed sources in Central Syria reported on Wednesday that the terrorist groups embarked on forming a new coalition in Homs and Hama provinces to slow down the Syrian Army advances.
The sources said that most of the terrorist groups in Northern Homs and Southern Hama agreed on setting up a Joint Operation Room under a united command in the central regions between the two provinces.
The sources further said that the terrorists of al-Faylaq al-Rabeh, Jeish al-Tohid, Faylaq al-Sham, al-Watan Tahrir Movement, Jeish al-Izzah, Jeish al-Homs, al-Houleh Operation Room, al-Rastan, Southern Hama Operation Room, Eastern Region and Southwestern Region joined the newly-formed coalition that is under the command of Ibrahim Bakar Abu Khalil.
They added that the newly-formed coalition is said to aim to face the army advances in Central Syria. Yet, the army is implementing a reconciliation plan in Southeastern Hama and is on the verge of purging the region of terrorists, they said.
Hama
The Syrian Army's artillery and missile units pounded heavily the strongholds of Jeish al-Izzah terrorists in Northern Hama after the militants attacked the towns that have recently joined the reconciliation plan in the Southern part of the province.
The artillery and missile units opened very heavy fire at Jeish al-Izzah’s positions in the towns of Latamina and Kafr Zita, scoring several direct hits on the enemy positions in the process.
The Syrian Army attack was conducted in retaliation for Jeish l-Izzah’s prior attack on the recently reconciled towns in Southern Hama.

Idlib
The Russian Air Force carried out several combat sorties over terrorists' strongholds in Western Idlib, destroying their bases and warehouses near the border with Turkey, local sources reported on Friday.
According to Fars News Agancy, the sources said that the Russian fighter jets heavily bombarded the terrorist-held town of Jisr al-Shughour, destroying a number of bases and storage facilities.
In particular, the warplanes bombed Jisr al-Shughour and several surrounding towns, including al-Ghassaniyeh, al-Sukkariyah, Ghaniya, al-Barah, Ishtabraq and Halouz.
In a relevant development, the Russian and Syrian warplanes carried out several rounds of combat flights over the positions and movements of Tahrir al-Sham in Jisr al-Shughour, Ariha, Jabal al-Zawiyeh, Jabal al-Araba'een, al-Sukriyeh, al-Qasaniyeh and Halouz region in Southwestern Idlib, killing an unspecified number of militants and destroying their equipment.
A local source said that an underground base of Tahrir al-Sham was destroyed in the air raids in Jabal al-Zawiyeh region, adding that the militants sustained at least a dozen casualties in the incident.
