Aleppo
Tahrir al-Sham Hay'at (the Levant Liberation Board or the Al-Nusra Front) stormed the positions of Nouralddeen al-Zinki affiliated to Syria's Tahrir Front and drove them out of the town of Bastaron in Western Aleppo on Friday.
Tahrir al-Sham had lost Bastaron around 24 hours ago when al-Zinki fighters stormed it in a local flank attack amid ongoing clashes all across Western Aleppo.
In the event, the al-Qaeda-linked Al-Nusra Front managed to hold key positions outside the town which it used to mobilize for a quick counter-attack.
After rather intense firefights with light and semi-heavy weapons, al-Zinki terrorists ceded the town back to Tahrir al-Sham.
Despite the local success at Bastaron, Tahrir al-Sham has recently been enduring rather serious tactical and operational defeats at the hands of enemy rebel forces in other areas of Western Aleppo.
