RNA - "It is worth mentioning that some countries are spreading Iranophobia, creating imaginary enemy, hatred, difference, division and gap between Iran and the neighboring countries to reach their aims," Enayati said.

He underlined that efforts made by some countries to prove Iran hegemony in the region and reviving emperorship are the fruit of false claims made by unofficial people.

According to Fars News Agancy, Enayati's remarks came in reaction to the recent claims by US Vice President Mike Pence in American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) who said Iran is after resuming Fars emperor.

"Such claims had earlier been refuted by Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and also by Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani," Enayati said.

He reiterated that the Islamic Republic of Iran not only takes no advantage of the expansionism but is against some countries’ adventurism.

The Iranian ambassador said that Iran is committed to principles and international values, namely respecting sovereignty and territorial integrity, mutual respects and not to interfere in other countries' internal affairs.

During the 72nd UNGA meeting, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani reiterated that Iran is not after reviving empire and hegemony.
