RNA - The sources said that the army men stormed terrorists' strongholds in the depth of Eastern Ghouta and drove the terrorists out of the strategic Modira settlement.
The Syrian army reached the Vehicles Management Center in Harasta and managed to divide Eastern Ghouta into two parts.
The Syrian troops killed several terrorists and injured many more in fierce clashes over controlling of the strategic regions. They also destroyed military equipment of the terrorists.
The Syrian army also continued its advances in other key provinces across Syria.
Damascus
The Syrian Army troops continued to march on the terrorists in the depth of Eastern Ghouta and drove a wedge between the Southern and Northern parts of Eastern Ghouta, military sources reported on Sunday.
The sources said that the army men deployed in the newly-freed town of Mesraba stormed terrorists' strongholds in the depth of Eastern Ghouta and drove the terrorists out of the strategic Modira settlement.
They went on to say that the army men further reached the Vehicles Management Center in Harasta and managed to divide Eastern Ghouta into two parts.
The army has been significantly advancing against terrorists in Eastern Ghouta in the last two weeks and freed important regions, including Beit Sawa and Mesraba.
An official in Syria's peace committee said earlier today that talks between the peace committee and representatives of militants are underway to pave the ground for the evacuation of almost 600 gunmen from Jisrin-al-Maliheh passageway in Eastern Ghouta.
The sources further said that the peace committee and Damascus government have taken logistic measures for evacuation of the gunmen.
In the meantime, the army men managed to impose control over several regions, including Mesraba and managed to lay siege on Harasta and drove a wedge between Harasta and Douma.
Aleppo
A sum of 18 Turkish Army men and Ankara-backed militants were killed in clashes with the Kurdish fighters in Afrin region in Northwestern Aleppo, a media outlet reported on Sunday.
The Kurdish-language Hawar news reported that a sum of 18 Turkish soldiers and allied militants were killed and several more were wounded in fresh clashes with the Kurdish gunmen in the village of Khalta in Afrin region.
Hawar news further said that a military vehicle of the Ankara forces also was destroyed in the clashes.
Local sources said that the army units and allied militants have captured a number of regions near the town of Afrin and are preparing to enter the Kurdish-held town.
Idlib
A notorious field commander of Tahrir al-Sham Hay'at (the Levant Liberation Board or the Al-Nusra Front) was killed after a bomb planted in his car went off in Southern Idlib, local sources said on Sunday.
According to Fars News Agency, the sources said that Abu Abdul Rahman Mohajer, the notorious commander of Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham, was killed in a booby-trapped explosion East of the town of Khan Sheikhoun.
A vast wave of tension and infighting among the terrorist groups has covered the province of Idlib and Aleppo.
Dara'a
The Syrian Army has forwarded a large number of fresh forces and a large volume of military hardware to the Southern province of Dara'a as the terrorist groups are preparing for an imminent operation against the government forces in the region, field sources reported on Sunday.
The sources said that a large number of fresh soldiers and military equipment have been sent to the regions that are under the army's control in Dara'a.
The sources went on to say that most of the army soldiers deployed in the neighborhoods of Shamal al-Khat, al-Sahari, al-Matar, al-Sabil and al-Soqour have been put on alert amid the army's preparation for an imminent operation in Dara'a.
The army's move to send more troops to Dara'a came after the Free Syrian Army (FSA) terrorists started plans to storm the army positions in Dara'a to provide back up for their comrades in Eastern Ghouta in Damascus province.
The Syrian army is advancing rapidly against terrorist groups in Eastern Ghouta.
The Arabic-language al-Watan daily quoted Commander of Qowat Shabab al-Sonah Abu Hessam as saying on Monday that the Free Syrian Army militants stormed the Syrian army men in Southern Syria to change the scene in Eastern Ghouta and saved their comrades that were losing battles with the government forces.
The daily further said that clashes with the ISIL weakened the militant groups in Hawz al-Yarmouk in Western Dara'a, adding that the terrorist groups, hence, plan to merge and form a new front.
Terrorists in Southern Syria intended to decrease the army's pressure on their comrades in Eastern Ghouta as the army soldiers tightened noose on the militants in Eastern Damascus during last week.
