Rasa - Iranian Supreme Leader's top aide for international affairs Ali Akbar Velayati warned that the US and its allies are implementing plots to disintegrate the Islamic states.

RNA - "We should pay attention that the US is after insidious infiltration into Iraq and collapse of the Islamic states, specially Syria, Yemen and Iraq, but it should expect ultimate failure in attaining its goals," Velayati said, addressing a ceremony in Tehran on Friday night.

He also blasted Washington for its excessive demands which have led to the massacre of the Yemeni people, and called on Saudi Arabia to stop aggression against the poor Arab country.

Meantime, Velayati expressed confidence that the Yemeni people will gain victory against aggressors.

In relevant remarks in October, Velayati warned that the US has hatched plots to disintegrate the regional states, including Iraq and Syria.

"The Americans are after the disintegration of Iraq and Syria and they have established 12 military bases there. They want to increase their influence (in the region)," Velayati said, addressing a ceremony in Tehran.

According to Fars News Agency, noting that Washington also seeks to force Tehran out of the stage as the key power behind the formation of the resistance front in the region, he said that all their attempts will prove futile as Iran has formed defense lines hundreds of kilometers away from its borders.

Also, last month, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani warned that Washington is seeking to disintegrate Syria, adding that Tehran will firmly stand against the plot.

"We oppose the presence in Syria by the Americans who have incorrect goals in the region and are thinking of disintegrating Syria," Rouhani told Iranian and foreign reporters in a press conference in Tehran.
