RNA - "The comic and ridiculous acts in meetings like Munich, which are long and boring, sometimes boost the morale and refresh the participants," Senior Advisor to the Iranian Army Commander Brigadier General Amir Reza Khorram Tousi said on Monday.
According to Fars News Agancy, his remarks came after Netanyahu claimed in the Munich Security Conference on Sunday that his regime could “act” directly against Iran, showing off what he called a piece of an Iranian drone which the Israeli military claims to have downed more than a week ago.
General Khorram Tousi said that the act played by Netanyahu in Munich conference was the repetition of his allegations at the UN General Assembly meeting in 2012 in which he showed a cartoonish illustration as he described his alleged concerns over Iran's nuclear ambitions.
"Our defense structure, preparedness and population as well as our defensive might and the situation of our present equipment have assured Netanyahu's masters of the Islamic Republic of Iran's might," he added.
In relevant remarks on Sunday, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif lashed out at Netanyahu's remarks against Iran at the Munich Security Conference as "cartoonish circus".
"You were the audience for a cartoonish circus just this morning, which does not even deserve the dignity of a response. So let’s move to more serious issues," Zarif said, addressing the participants in Munich Conference.
