RNA - "Iraq has security cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran, Russia and Syria thorough a coordination center," Fayyad said, addressing a press conference in Iraq on Wednesday.
"The security center coordinates cooperation among the four countries in intelligence and security fields and establishment of security," he added.
His remarks came days after the Quadrilateral Intelligence Center of Iran, Russia, Iraq and Syria held a meeting in Baghdad to broaden cooperation in the fight against terrorism.
During the meeting in the capital city earlier this month, the participants discussed activities of the four countries in the security and intelligence fields and presented security reports on countering terrorism.
Tehran, Moscow, Baghdad and Damascus also stressed the need to expand cooperation between the four countries in the fight against the ISIL terrorists and other terrorist groups.
According to Fars News Agancy, during the meeting, Head of Iraq’s Military Intelligence Organization Major General Saad Mezher Al-Alaq described as effective the role of this center in fighting against the ISIL terrorist group.
General Al-Alaq, meantime, warned about the new measures of the ISIL terrorist group and other terrorist groups within the framework of new terrorist groups.
Meantime, Iran's military attaché Mostafa Moradian said that one of the center's most important activities is presenting information about the ISIL and other terrorists’ bases in Iraq and Syria to Iraqi forces.
The Quadrilateral Intelligence Center with members of the military attachés of Iran, Russia, Iraq and Syria, is headed by the Iraqi Military Information Organization since its foundation in 2015.
