Syria in Last 24 Hours:
Rasa - The Syrian army soldiers warded off terrorists' attacks on their positions in Hama province after hours of clashes, inflicting major losses on the militants.
Syria

RNA - The terrorist attacks to capture the government forces' positions in the Northern Hama were fended off by the strong defense of the Syrian military men.

 

Meantime, the Syrian army continued its military advances in other parts of Syria, including Deir Ezzur, over past 24 hours.

 

Tens of terrorists were killed and dozens more were injured during the Syrian army's operations in provinces across Syria.

 

Hama

 

The Syrian Army men warded off heavy attacks of the Al-Nusra Front (Tahrir al-Sham Hay'at or the Levant Liberation Board) and Jeish al-Izzah in Northern Hama on Monday, inflicting major losses on the terrorists.

 

The army's artillery units shelled heavily the Al-Nusra's movements in al-Satahiyat region West of the town of al-Salamiyah and preempted their attack.

 

The Al-Nusra suffered heavy casualties in the army fire.

 

In the meantime, the Jeish al-Izzah deployed in al-Latamina stormed the army positions in the village of Zalin in Northern Hama, but failed to prevail over the army strongholds.

 

Jeish al-Izzah left behind a number of casualties and retreated from the battlefield.   

 

Deir Ezzur

 

The Syrian Army has dispatched more troops and equipment to Eastern Deir Ezzur, preparing for an imminent operation to end ISIL terrorists' presence in regions between Deir Ezzur and Homs provinces, field sources said on Monday.

 

The sources reported that the army has dispatched a large number of soldiers and a large volume of equipment to Eastern Deir Ezzur after they purged Hama and Aleppo province of ISIL.

 

The sources said that the army is planning to kick off an imminent operation to hunt the remaining pockets of ISIL terrorists in the desert regions between Eastern Homs and Western Deir Ezzur.

 

Damascus

 

Russia's Humeimim airbase in Syria declared that the terrorist groups' attempts to establish a US base in Eastern Damascus were foiled.

 

Humeimim airbase confirmed on its Facebook page on Monday that Moscow cooperated with the Syrian army forces in thwarting at least two terrorist groups' attempts to set up a US airport and military base in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus.

 

Based on the report, the terrorists had plotted to block the Syrian army's path to the region by setting up a US base.

 

It added that at present, Washington is attempting to disintegrate Syria – given the fact that the al-Nusra Front terrorist group is ruling Eastern Ghouta - but Moscow makes its utmost efforts to prevent this.

 

Raqqa

 

Forced recruitment and sharp decline in the monthly salary of Arab fighters of the predominately Kurdish Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have pushed the Kurdish-held regions in Raqqa province into rising tensions, local sources reported on Monday.

 

The sources in Northern Raqqa said that the SDF has detained a number of civilians in the towns of Tal Abyadh and Solouk with the framework of its' forced recruitment plan.

 

The sources further said that the SDF has decreased monthly salary of the family members of its Arab fighters who were killed in Raqqa battlefields from 80,000 lira to 40,000 lira.

 

The sources added that the SDF's move to hoard fuel via its checkpoints has raised fuel prices sharply in the region.

 

Quneitra

 

The vehicle of Abu Hamzah al-Naba'a was detonated in a roadside bomb explosion in the Southwestern province of Quneitra, leaving the senior field commander of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) and his guards dead, field sources reported on Monday.

 

Abu Hamzah al-Naba'a, a field commander of the FSA-affiliated Syria's Thowar Front and two of his guards were killed after their vehicle was detonated by a roadside bomb on the road connecting Naba'a al-Sakhar to Masraha in Quneitra province, the sources said.

 

According to Fars News Agancy, they added that al-Naba'a was the commander of the Military Council of Syria's Thowar Front in the village of Naba'a al-Sakhar.    

 

Aleppo

 

The Turkish Army forces and Ankara-backed militants drove Kurdish fighters out of more villages and hills within the framework of Operation Olive Branch in Afrin region in Northwestern Aleppo, dissident-affiliated websites reported on Monday.

 

The websites reported that forces of Operation Olive Branch stormed Kurdish positions in Jandaris region and imposed control over the village of Iskandar and its hills.

 

The sources further said that the Turkish soldiers and their allied militants also captured the village of Sa'arnajkah Northwest of Afrin, the village of Arab Weiran and Mount Arab Weiran Northeast of Afrin.
