Rasa - Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) strongly rejected claims by the Bahraini regime that it trains terrorists.

RNA - Karim al-Nouri, Spokesman for the PMF said "the Mobilization's only mission is to fight the terrorist group ISIL" and termed Bahraini Interior Minister's statements as fake and false accusations, Al-Waght reported.

Responding to Bahrain's accusation of PMF involvement in supporting "terrorist operations", Al-Nuri added that "the Bahraini Interior Minister statements are unfortunately aimed at marketing the internal crisis, protests and popular uprising in his country beyond its borders to try to urge the international and regional [community] to voice support for his country's corrupt regime."

"We, in the Mobilization Forces, fight ISIL and have no other mission. We follow the directions of the Iraqi government and the government has a clear stance," he explained.

"We, in the Mobilization Forces, condemn these fake and false accusations," he further stressed.

The Iraqi PMF official underlined that "instead of making accusations, the Bahriani Minister of Interior should study the conditions of his people and know the sufferings of Bahrainis.”

In November 2016, the Iraqi parliament approved a law to give full legal status to fighters from Popular Mobilization Force, who joined government forces in counter-terrorism operations against ISIL militants across the country.

PMF played a major role in the liberation of ISIL-held areas across Iraq and eventually succeeded in completely ejecting the Takfiri group from all areas it occupied in the country last December.
