RNA - The army units also took back the villages of Jabal (mount) al-Modawar, Wadi (desert) al-Sanou'a and the villages of al-Na'amaniyeh, Boweizeh Saqireh, Moshrefeh al-Boweizetain, Boweizeh Kabireha and al-Wajed after heavy fighting with terrorists in Southern Aleppo.
The army then focused on advancing towards other regions in Southern Aleppo.
The Syrian troops killed tens of terrorists and injured dozens more in fierce clashes over controlling of strategic regions. They also destroyed military equipment of the terrorists.
The Syrian army also continued its advances in other key provinces across Syria.
Aleppo
The Syrian Army troops beat terrorists back from seven more villages and regions in Southern Aleppo and managed to extend the range of their control over more lands in the terrorist-held region on Sunday.
The army men managed to capture the villages of Jabal (mount) al-Modawar, Wadi (desert) al-Sanou'a and the villages of al-Na'amaniyeh, Boweizeh Saqireh, Moshrefeh al-Boweizetain, Boweizeh Kabireha and al-Wajed after heavy fighting with terrorists in Southern Aleppo.
The army soldiers further advanced East of the strategic road connecting Tal (hill) al-Zaman and Jabal al-Arbaeen region, tightening the siege on the terrorists North of the town of Khanasser.
Field sources confirmed earlier that the army men in the last round of clashes with Al-Nusra (Tahrir al-Sham Hay'at or the Levant Liberation Board) captured the villages of al-Atshanah, al-Salehiyeh, Beit al-Hamadat, al-Jufrah, Wadi al-Hob and Tal al-Sabiyeh near the town of al-Safireh.
The sources said that the army has thus far imposed control over 60 villages and towns following its advances in Southwestern Aleppo in the last four days.
The sources said that the army has started fresh operations South of al-Safireh to access the key Abu al-Dhohour airbase, capturing 26 villages.
The sources further said that the terrorist groups have launched more attacks on the army to slow down their rapid advances and prevent them from laying siege on the militants trapped in a large region expanded from Southern and Southwestern Aleppo up to Southeastern Idlib.
Damascus
Field sources reported on Sunday that the Syrian Army has managed to beat back terrorists from more regions near a key militant base in the town of Harasta in Eastern Ghouta.
The sources confirmed that the army men fought back terrorists from their strategic positions in Dhahiyeh region in Harasta.
The sources said that the army men managed to recapture all the positions they had lost over last two weeks, including al-Hajaz garages and the buildings near the municipality of Harasta.
The army men have started restoring sustainable security to all their positions near the Vehicles Management Center, the sources added.
Idlib
Qasoura Malahem, a senior field commander of Jeish al-Malahem was killed in the recent clashes with the Syrian Army troops in Southeastern Idlib, well-informed sources reported on Sunday.
Qasoura Malahem, a Jund al-Malahem commander and a former commander of Jund al-Aqsa, was killed a tough battle with the army men in Southeastern Idlib, the sources said.
In the meantime, the militant-affiliated sources confirmed that the terrorist groups suffered heavy defeats in their offensives on army positions in Northern Hama and Southeastern Idlib.
The failed attacks, codenamed as Rad al-Toqyan and En Allah Ala Nasrahom al-Qadir, failed to stop the advances of the government troops.
Dara'a
The ISIL and rival terrorists exchanged heavy fire in two provinces in Southern Syria, inflicting major casualties on each other, dissident sources reported on Sunday.
The sources said that Jeish al-Islam stormed ISIL's positions in al-Zein neighborhood in Hajar al-Aswad region in the Northern countryside of Damascus city and managed to capture three positions that were under ISIL's control for a long time.
In the meantime, the Free Syrian Army clashed with ISIL in Hajez al-Roba'ei region in Western Dara'a, leaving a number of casualties on both warring sides.
Field sources reported on Saturday that ISIL once again stormed the positions of its rival terrorist group of Jeish al-Islam in the Southern countryside of Damascus city, taking control over a number of their strongholds.
The sources said that ISIL engaged in clashes with Jeish al-Islam in Hajar al-Aswad region to the South of the capital, imposing control over three buildings in al-Zein neighborhood.
The clashes inflicted several casualties on both sides.
