Israeli Settler Violence against Palestinians

RNA - According to residents of the Jit and Farata villages, a large group estimated at around 500 settlers from nearby settlements attempted to forcefully enter the two villages and attack its residents, but were chased off by the local men and youth, WAFA reported.

Head of the Ambulance and Emergency unit in Qalqilia Munther Nazzal told that ambulance crews rushed to the area to treat a woman who suffered a panic attack in the village of Farta following the incident.

Israeli forces are currently stationed at the entrance to Jit.

Israel ordered a sweeping crackdown in the occupied Palestinian territory of the West Bank after the shooting death of an Israeli Rabbi Raziel Shevach.

Tel Aviv often uses such incidents as pretexts to intensify its already draconian restrictive measures against the Palestinians residing in the territory, which it occupied in 1967.
