Rasa - Syrian army soldiers repelled terrorists' massive attack on their positions in the Northern part of Homs province after hours of clashes, inflicting major losses on them.

RNA - The Al-Nusra Front (Tahrir al-Sham Hay'at or the Levant Liberation Board) terrorists' large-scale attacks to capture the government forces' positions in the outskirts of the town of Harasta from Southeastern direction of Maktabat al-Emad region were fended off by the strong defense of the Syrian military men.

 

Meantime, the Syrian army and popular forces continued their military advances in other parts of Syria, including Damascus and Aleppo, over the past 24 hours.

 

Tens of terrorists were killed and dozens more were injured during the Syrian army's operations in Syria's key provinces.

 

Homs

 

The Syrian Army troops repelled a heavy offensive by Al-Nusra Front terrorists in Northern Homs on Sunday.

 

The army men beat back Al-Nusra fighters that had attacked the pro-government forces' positions in the outskirts of the town of Harasta from Southeastern direction of Maktabat al-Emad region.

 

The Al-Nusra suffered heavy casualties and pulled the remaining pockets of its forces back after their attack was warded off by the army units.

 

In the meantime, field sources in Northern Homs reported that terrorists' missile and artillery units targeted the army positions in the Southern and Western parts of Talbiseh region and North of the town of al-Rastan, violating ceasefire in the de-escalation zone.

 

The sources added that the army, in response, shelled heavily terrorists' positions in al-Mokaramiyeh region and in the town of Kafr Laha in Northern and Northwestern Homs, inflicting major losses on the terrorists.   

 

Damascus

 

The Syrian Army forces inflicted major losses on terrorists and seized control over more regions in their heavy attacks on militants in Eastern Ghouta, military sources confirmed on Sunday.

 

The sources said that the army men exchanged heavy fire with terrorists in regions near the Vehicles Management Center in the town of Harasta and recaptured the buildings West of the Grand Abu Bakr Mosque.

 

Also, the army's artillery and missile units destroyed several tunnels and positons of terrorists, the sources said, adding that the army's aircraft conducted massive bombing on the supply lines of terrorists in Arbin and the Vehicles Management Centers in Harasta and stopped dispatch of militants' logistical back up to the Center.

 

Dissident-affiliated sources have confirmed the death of 100 militants in clashes with the army in Harasta in recent days.

 

Military sources confirmed on Sunday that the army has sent a large number of forces known as the Arab National Guard and military equipment to Harasta region in Eastern Damascus.

 

The sources said that the fresh forces will join their comrades' campaign against terrorists in the Vehicles Management Center.

 

Idlib

 

The Syrian Army troops continued attacking the positions of the Al-Nusra Front in Eastern Idlib on Sunday and managed to capture more regions within the framework of an operation to lift the siege on the towns of Fua'a and Kafraya.

 

The army men stormed Al-Nusra positions in Eastern Idlib and freed the village of Kafraya West of railway or in the Western countryside of the newly-liberated town of Sinjar.

 

Field sources said that the army men have seized control over the village of Ajaz North of Kafraya, adding that the army units are advancing in the region to lift terrorists' siege on the towns of Fua'a and Kafraya in the Northeastern countryside of Idlib city.

 

The sources said that the army is battling terrorists in two fronts in Idlib, adding that in the first front the army has captured Kafraya and in the second front the army men are fighting terrorists in Southern Aleppo.

 

Reports said earlier on Sunday that the army men stormed Al-Nusra and captured the town of Sinjar, a main stronghold of terrorists.

 

The army units also imposed control over the villages of Sar'a and Sari'a Southeast and East of Sinjar, al-Khiyarah and al-Motawasetah West of Sinjar.

 

The army's engineering units have started defusing bombs and landmines planted by the terrorists in Sinjar and other newly-captured regions.

 

Sinjar is also located along an important road that leads to the vital stronghold of militants, Ma'arat Al-Nu'aman, which is a priority for the Syrian Army’s High Command.

 

Aleppo

 

The Turkish Army troops are coordinating the last preparations to kick off their large-scale attack on the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the town of Afrin in Aleppo province, a Russian media outlet reported on Sunday.

 

The Arabic-language website of Russia's state news agency, Sputnik, quoted a security source as saying that the Turkish Army has set up a field hospital in Qomlo region in Hatay province at the border with Syria.

 

Sputnik further said that the army is preparing for an imminent operation in a region between Idlib province and the town of Afrin, adding that security officials in Qomlo region have adopted severe security measures, deploying a large number of policemen in the region.

 

A military source, meantime, said that more than 15,000 Turkish soldiers have deployed in Kilis at border with Afrin, adding that the army has dispatched a large volume of military hardware, including heavy cannon and personnel carriers to border checkpoints in Kilis region.
