RNA - "Under the current conditions, all staunch enemies of the Islamic Republic of Iran are making their utmost attempts to provoke people to hold gatherings and stir unrest," General Hatami said, addressing the defense ministry officials in Tehran on Monday.
"The world arrogance (the US and its allies) and enemies of our country are thinking of ways to make Iran an insecure and instable country," he added.
The mainstream media in the West has given a wide coverage to the economic protests in a few Iranian towns in the past few days that each comprised of a few hundred protesters, but none has covered the massive pro-government rallies held in more than 1,200 cities and towns on Saturday.

"We invite all people to increase their insight and underline the necessity for keeping united and integrated," the resolutions said.
It also warned against any concessions, regret and accompanying with the demands of the old enemies of Iran, calling on the Iranian officials to double efforts to resolve people's economic problems, including inflation.
The resolution condemned any kind of move masterminded by the anti-revolutionary forces and the US, British and Israeli spy agencies to stir unrest and dissidence in Iran.
The ralliers also called on the judiciary to try the leaders of 2009 unrests in Iran, and further reiterated their everlasting allegiance to Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei.
Millions of Iranians across the country poured to the streets on Saturday morning to commemorate the eighth anniversary of mass rallies held on December 30, 2009, to protect the Islamic Republic.
