RNA - "Under the pretext of defending the Kurds, the Washington and Tel Aviv are after hatching their own insidious plots in Syria," Amir Abdollahian said on Thursday.
He said that the US military headquarters in Syria is an example of such plots.
In relevant remarks on Monday, Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani blasted the US for its lack of seriousness in fighting terrorism, and said that Washington is merely wasting time.
"The Americans are not sincere in their campaign against terrorism, and Washington in only playing games," Larijani said.
The parliament speaker underlined that Iran condemns terrorism in all its forms, adding, "The US has created terrorist groups, including the ISIL, to destroy the resources of the Muslim countries and serve the Israeli regime's interests."
Larijani said the US attacked Afghanistan in 2001 under the pretext of fighting terrorism and the cultivation of opium, but the production of drugs has increased by more than 45 percent in the war-stricken country.
There are some 400 laboratories in Afghanistan, which are producing heroin, he said, criticizing NATO's inaction in this regard.
