Damascus
The Syrian Army men, backed up by the artillery units, drove the Al-Nusra Front (Tahrir al-Sham Hay'at or the Levant Liberation Board) terrorists back from their positions on the hills overlooking Jabal al-Sheikh region Southwest of Damascus on Friday.
The army men, supported by the artillery units' heavy fire, captured several hills overlooking Jabal al-Sheikh region, trying to separate the towns of al-Mughur al-Mir and Beit Jinn and Beit Jinn farm from the towns of Beit Tima, Kafr Hoor and Beit Saber that had previously joined the peace agreement.
Field sources reported that the Al-Nusra has carried out several counter-attacks to recapture lost lands before the army men fortify their positions there.
The Syrian Army soldiers pushed Al-Nusra Front back from several other key regions in Southwestern Damascus.
Military sources said that the army men clashed fiercely with Al-Nusra in Southwestern Damascus and seized full control of the strategic Bardaya hills Northeast of Beit Jinn Farm.
They added that Al-Nusra suffered heavy casualties in the attack and pulled back the remaining pockets of its forces from the battlefield in order to evade more casualties.

Relevant reports said earlier that the army extended the range of its advances towards the strategic Abu al-Dhohour airport in Idlib, sending reinforcement and new equipment to Southern Aleppo.
The army forces continued clashes with al-Nusra Front terrorists in Southern Aleppo, regaining control of the village of Ramlat al-Thour.
Meantime, field sources confirmed that the army has sent a new military convoy, consisting of fresh forces and equipment, from Hama to Southern Aleppo.

Quneitra
The Syrian Army troops managed to drive terrorists out of strategic hills in Southwestern Damascus and seized fire control over a key town, military sources confirmed on Friday.
The sources said that the army men that broke-through defense lines of the Al-Nusra Front (Tahrir al-Sham Hay'at or the Levant Liberation Board) on the Western slope of Bardaya hills managed to force the militants to retreat to the nearby town of Mughar al-Mir.
The source added that the Syrian Army now has fire control over Mughar Al-Mir and should be able to capture the town in the coming days.
Once Mughar Al-Mir is captured, the Syrian Army can work their way to the strategic town of Beit Jinn, which has long been a terrorist stronghold near the occupied Golan Heights.
Military sources confirmed on Wednesday that the army stormed again the strongholds of the Al-Nusra Front in Southwestern Damascus, coming closer to the terrorists' largest bastion in the region.
The sources said that the army soldiers clashed fiercely with Al-Nusra terrorists close to Bardaya hill and managed to seize control over the Eastern direction of the hill covering a region from Northeast of Beit Jinn farm up to the Southwest of the village of Kafr Hoor.
A large number of Al-Nusra fighters were killed and their military equipment was destroyed in the attack, they said.
The sources went on to say that the Bardaya hill is of paramount importance and its capture by the army will enable the government forces to access Beit Jinn farm that is one of the largest bastions of Al-Nusra in Western Ghouta.
In the meantime, the Al-Nusra's missile and artillery units targeted army positions in Tal al-Sha'ar region in Eastern Quneitra to back up their comrades in Beit Jinn and slow down the army's advances in the region.
