RNA - The terrorist attacks to capture the government forces' positions in the Eastern part of Homs province were fended off by the strong defense of the Syrian military men.

Meantime, the Syrian army and popular forces continued their military advances in other parts of Syria, including Damascus, over the past 24 hours.

Tens of terrorists were killed and dozens more were injured during the Syrian army's operations in other provinces across Syria.

Homs

The Syrian Army troops warded off a heavy offensive of the ISIL in Eastern Homs, inflicting major losses on terrorists on Tuesday.

The ISIL launched a surprise offensive in Eastern Homs, hitting the Syrian Army’s positions at the strategic town of al-Sukhnah by detonating a car bomb at a checkpoint of the army men outside the town.

The ISIL terrorists stormed towards the town after detonating the suicide vehicle, but the army men repelled their attack.

A large number of ISIL terrorists were killed and the remaining pockets of them fled the battlefield in the failed attack.

Deir Ezzur

The Syrian Army sent a large number of its special forces from Hama province to Deir Ezzur to take part in the final phase of large-scale operation to drive ISIL out of the remaining lands under terrorists' occupation, military sources confirmed on Tuesday.

The sources said that the army forwarded hundreds of elite forces from Hama to Deir Ezzur to join their comrades' operation to end ISIL's presence in regions close to the newly-liberated town of Albu Kamal in Southeastern Deir Ezzur.

The sources went on to say that a few ISIL terrorists are trapped in the circle of the army men at border with Iraq, adding that the army men will kick off a fresh operation to free the lands under ISIL's control soon to purge the region of the terrorists in the coming weeks.

Hama

The Syrian Army troops and popular forces stormed the strongholds of Al-Nusra Front (Tahrir al-Sham Hay'at or the Levant Liberation Board) in Northeastern Hama and managed to capture another strategic region on Tuesday.

The army troops, backed up by the Russian Air Force, advanced toward the towns of Um Miyal and al-Rahjan, two major strongholds of terrorists in Northeastern Hama.

The army men managed to impose control over the small but strategic village of al-Mastariheh Northwest of Sarha al-Shamali after hours of fierce clashes with Al-Nusra.

A large number of Al-Nusra terrorists, including Abu Ma'az Afghani, a field commander, were killed in the clashes.

In the meantime, a field commander stressed that Syrian army units have engaged in fierce clashes with terrorists in al-Rahjan region in recent days, underlining importance of regaining control of al-Mastariheh which is a transit point towards al-Rahjan.

The commander said the army is now situated just South of Um Miyal, leaving militants in a very uncomfortable spot.

According to battlefield reports, if terrorists fail to beat back the army soldiers in the coming days, they will be forced to give up this last piece of Northeastern Hama that is under their control.

Quneitra

The Syrian Army resumed its military operation near the occupied Golan Heights, liberating several points from the Al-Nusra Front.

The Pro-government forces broke-through militants' front-lines at the strategic hilltop of Tal Bardayah in Southwestern Damascus, seizing many points after a short battle on Monday night.

Also, a field source said that the army has laid siege on Tal Bardaya from different directions, adding that the next phase of the army operation will concentrate on imposing control over the key hilltop which will give fire control to the government forces over the important town of Moqr al-Ma'ar.
