RNA - The army units also pushed back terrorists from a strategic region in Southern Aleppo and took back their positions.
The Syrian troops killed tens of terrorists and injured dozens more in fierce clashes over controlling of strategic regions. They also destroyed military equipment of the terrorists.
The Syrian army also continued its advances in other key provinces across Syria.
Aleppo
The Syrian Army troops achieved a major victory against the Al-Nusra Front (Tahrir al-Sham Hay'at or the Levant Liberation Board) after a week-long back-and-forth clashes in Southern Aleppo, capturing a strategic region, military sources said on Friday.
The sources said that the army soldiers, spearheaded by elements of the 3rd Legion, 5th Legion and Republican Guards, managed to impose full control over al-Rashadiyah region in the early hours of Friday.
This key town is located a few kilometers West of the main government supply line leading to Aleppo city.
At the moment, the army is trying to fortify al-Rashadiyah in order to prevent an Al-Nusra counter-offensive.
Reports indicate that government forces have reached the outskirts of Al-Nusra-controlled Ramlah, an important town en route to Abu al-Dhohour Airbase in Eastern Idlib.
The Al-Nusra's defensive lines in Southern Aleppo was said to have buckled due to simultaneous offensives by the army men on two flanks in the neighboring Hama province, rendering terrorists unable to defend all areas at once.
Hama
The Syrian Army troops continued battle against the Al-Nusra Front (Tahrir al-Sham Hay'at or the Levant Liberation Board) in Northeastern Hama on Friday, inflicting major losses on the terrorists.
The army men engaged in heavy fighting with Al-Nusra in the village of al-Mastariheh and along a road to al-Rabdah region in Northeastern Hama, killing and wounding a large number of terrorists and destroying their military equipment.
In the meantime, the army's artillery units targeted terrorists' positions in Um Mayal, al-Rahjan and Bayouz regions.
Meantime, the ISIL drove the Al-Nusra Front out of six more villages after days of heavy clashes in Northeastern Hama, heading towards Idlib province, local sources said on Friday.
The sources reported that the ISIL managed to take control of the villages of Rasm al-Dahl, Abu Al-Khair, Buyad As Şaffaf, Rasm Al-Tawl Al-Sharkiyah and Tiwal Al-Dabaghin in Northeastern Hama.
These villages were formerly under Al-Nusra's control but were abandoned without a fight by the latter.
This expansion of ISIL, now made up of 20 villages along the provincial border between Hama and Idlib, is squeezed between the territories controlled by the Al-Nusra and the Syrian Army, far away from the ISIL's mainland in Eastern Syria.
Deir Ezzur
Local sources reported on Friday that the Syrian Army troops pushed ISIL back from more positons in energy-rich regions in Eastern Deir Ezzur, killing and wounding a number of terrorists.
The sources said that the army men managed to advance against ISIL in al-Shamiyeh region after taking control over al-Ward oilfield in Eastern Deir Ezzur.
They added that the ISIL suffered a number of casualties in the attack.
