The Syrian troops killed tens of terrorists and injured dozens more in fierce clashes over controlling of strategic regions. They also destroyed military equipment of the terrorists.
The Syrian army also continued its advances in other key provinces across Syria.
Deir Ezzur
The Syrian army continued cleansing operations against the ISIL in the two strategic towns of Albu Kamal and al-Mayadeen in Southeastern Deir Ezzur, regaining control over more regions.
The army forces engaged in clashes with the remaining ISIL terrorists in the Western coast of the Euphrates river in Southeastern Deir Ezzur, retaking control of the Eastern and Western parts of the town of Mahkan.
The Syrian army soldiers also established security at the villages and towns of Zahar al-Nasrani and Sheikh Ali as well as Wadi al-Khor, Feyzat Ahmad al-Hifan, Wadi Faliteh and Wadi al-Sil regions.
In a relevant development, the Syrian army troops stormed ISIL's strongholds in Southeastern Deir Ezzur and advanced 40 km along the road connecting the town of al-Mayadeen to the town of Albu Kamal, seizing control over several towns and villages.
The army soldiers drove ISIL out of the towns and villages of Zahr al-Nasrani, Sheikh Ali, Wadi al-Khour, Fezeh Ahmad al-Hayfan, Wadi Faliteh and Wadi al-Seil, advancing 40 km along al-Mayadeen-Albu Kamal road in Southeastern Deir Ezzur.
The army men also pushed ISIL back from the regions of Araz Talhat Malham, Wadi al-Abyaz, Wadi Oweina, Wadi al-Ward, Tal Malham and Sha'ab Kha'an en route to Albu Kamal.
A military source reported that the army men are just 25 km away from areas where their comrades are stationed in the village of al-Ashayer North of Albu Kamal.
Damascus
The Syrian army intensified military operations against the al-Nusra Front (Tahrir al-Sham Hay'at or the Levant Liberation Board) in Southwestern Damascus, extending the range of its control over the terrorist-held areas.
The army troops on Thursday targeted the terrorists' bases in Talat Bard'ia near Beit Jin farms in Southwestern Damascus with artillery and missile fire.
A military source underlined the army's control over Kafr Hoor region and the nearby hills in Western Damascus, noting that the Syrian troops have tightened the noose on the terrorists in Moqr al-Mayer and Beit Jin regions as well as Beit Jin farms.
He added that the army wants to separate Moqr al-Mayer from Beit Jin farms by retaking control over the strategic al-Nasari hill.
Hasaka
The Syrian army dispatched a large number of fresh military forces from Hasaka to Deir Ezzur province to participate in cleansing operations against the ISIL terrorists.
Local sources in Hasaka reported that the army has sent 160 National Defense Forces from the province to Deir Ezzur via Qamishli international airport to use them in purging operations in Eastern Deir Ezzur.
Meantime, the Syrian army troops engaged in clashes with the ISIL terrorists in regions near the villages of al-Qabreh, al-Mataredah and al-Sayal after regaining control over the town of Albu Kamal in Southeastern Deir Ezzur.
Idlib
The Syrian army is moving towards Idlib from Hama and Aleppo fronts, field sources said, adding that a large number of forces and military equipment have been sent to Southern Aleppo.
The sources reported on Thursday that the army aims to reach Abu Zohour airbase in Idlib by intensified military operations in Northeastern Hama and Southwestern Aleppo.
They added that retaking control of the strategic village of al-Reshadiyeh and the nearby hills in Southern Aleppo is the army's first target in the operation, saying that the Syrian army troops have engaged in fierce clashes with the terrorists in Hajarah-al-Reshadiyeh-Rajm al-Sawan region.
